I'm very familiar with the quote, Mat. That's why I (regrettably) got 2 blitz pieces for my DE.
I'm saying Bort has been known to make mistakes and I'm highly confidenct this is one. I don't know any LB or DE with blitz who feels it helps but I know a lot who think it is broken.
The speed script shows no difference in max speed or acceleration for similar builds with and without blitz as well as no change for a player who adds blitz AE compared to his speed script results before adding it. When you add first step to a LB, you can see the change in acceleration on the script. With blitz, you can't. It seems pretty clear cut it is not working as intended.

Here's a ?, though. Any thread like this will eventually get out of hand no matter what happens. The more cluttered of a mess it becomes, the tougher it will be to try to find anything. I'm obviously making this up as I go along. So, what do you think of the following ideas:
Keep it as is. Cluttered isn't an issue and it's good to be able to question things in the thread?
Make a thread like this, only have it locked so that it only contains Bort quotes (could create a separate thread for discussion, maybe?)?
Try and convince Bort to create a sub forum just for this and create threads for quotes from Bort on various aspects of the game...Maybe one sub forum on Vets, another on SAs, skills, so on?
Something completely different?

Yes, I think all those are great! Start simple and if it gets to big, move to something else. The easier it is for your (or other mods) to manage, the greater the chance of it being used.

I sure wouldn't have an issue with it being mirrored there or something like that, but GLBwiki is actually owned and paid for by Hik, not GLB (which is p damn cool thing for him to do). So, there is no guarantee that it would be there forever, where as the forums here should be, for at least as long as GLB is here, anyway.

Haha, kinda like the whole game...its a valiant attempt, the site was nice at first. But if its not your primary job to maintain it, I could see how it'd be hard to keep up. At least in GLB, you could have several mods cutting and pasting bort quotes into a centralized location.
