True....I'm afraid that after staring at too many of your pitifully lacking built dots, I may have forgotten what a good one looks like anymore...And don't throw records and gaudy stats up to refute my statement. You just embarrass yourself when you deal in tangible evidence.

What records and guady stats do I have? My best player is a fullback who doesn't get pancakes.

great news that you're getting involved! and thank you for the comittment to go above and beyond in terms of communication.

Well, I haven't made it much of a secret that I don't like active agents/GMs/owners being testers, and I still don't. However, every indication I've seen is that this is the system we'll have for the long run. So, as cheesy as it sounds, I'm going to try to do my part in minimizing the aspects of this system that I don't care for. Part of that is making my activities as transparent as practically possible. So, that's what I intend to do.

Even if he doesn't know a OMG build at least he's trying to help out. More than you can say for a lot of mods that frequent these boards.

Thanks for the updates PP, quite a few users appreciate your effort and communication.

He's a friend of mine and just trying to give me a little shit. Potts was just trying to be funny...I have to remind him over and over how unfunny he really is and that he should just stop trying, but he's a stubborn little bastard.

And, np at all. I'm just going to try to do what some of the better testers did before me that I REALLY appreciated

Wouldn't it make sense to be documenting when & why changes are made to the sim code? The fact that Bort has no idea why he turned something off scares me.

No offense to Hazy, but most of his dots were very blah. So, I left his OL as is (made backups) and created the entire starting D. If anything, the D is better than one could make from day 1 slow builds at day 440. If the DL can't generate significant pressure, there's a p serious issue...Assuming they can, I'll then put in the OL I made (again, built as good as I can produce) and compare.

as for most of the dots I created being very blah that's kind of humorous, but every one is entitled to their opinion. The dots were pretty much exact copies of some of the best dots in the game from the World League and USAPL. I was a part of nearly 20 teams last season and I copied the best builds on all of those teams for future reference. When I created the test team, I used those builds as a reference and rounded to the nearest 0/5.

This sort of thing happens way too often.

I just meant in comparison to what the best slow builds will look like, when they finally hit decline. For the current group, they're great, but no one built as well as they possibly could from day 1 on their ssn 1-3 dots.

Edit: as I wrote, wasn't a rip or anything

It's kind of a funny thing -

I don't know the answer to this - but my opinion would be NO -

is it possible to have code written - that allows the game to be somewhat balanced in Peewee up through world league - and for crap builds - all the way up to perfect slow builds?

As an example - I ran a "test" (using the word VERY loosely) on the main forums - where I used level 1 CB's as OT's - and they could still shut down DE's - even 30+ level ones -

now in my opinion - though that test did serve to indicate an issue - it didn't really 'prove' anything - since the parameters were SO far out there....

That same issue would still exist on the test server - PP is currently (it appears) using cream of the crop EXTREME builds (that do actually exist) - and seeing if those 'break' the sim....it almost seems like there need to be several versions of the sim - you're playing on 1 version for levels 1-20; playing on another version from 20-50 and playing on a 3rd from 51 up.

again - is it possible to have sim code so well written - that it serves the vast array of different possibilities that could occur? (I'm no programmer)

I don't know if it's gong to go anywhere, but one of my 1st suggestions on the test server was that each tester have 3 sets of teams....lvl 1s, 40s and 72s. I do know that Darkus Black is currently testing pee wee passing

interesting -

but then of course to make a change to peewee passing - you'd then have to go back and consider what effects those changes would have at level 40 - and at 72 -

complicated - complicated - complicated
