Any chance you could change it so higher level guys aren't punished? Heck, even just removing +1 as an option. No way a L60 WR should be getting a +1 anything.

This. It seems the higher level guys get more +1 attribute and 2% something useless than low level guys and at least the low level guys can find stuff off their tree.

And while I mostly agree with Octowned, I don't see any evidence that SAs on your tree become more prevalent at higher levels (the % and +3 attributes do, I agree), at least at certain positions. You can roll a 50+ lvl CB for two seasons and maybe once, maybe you'll find a CD, SV or SDC SA. For DTs, it is near impossible to find shed block at high levels (even though DEs seem to find it all the time). Yet, OL and WRs seem to have little problem finding good SAs, usually with attributes attached.

So, Bort, why do some positions consistently have better or worse luck finding SAs from their trees at high levels? Is the coding really different by position, cause it seems like it?

IMO lvl 15-30 are great times to look for peices, after that is seems like the %'s deminish slightly each lvl.

For never having programmed anything in my life, I sure have figured out a lot about how you programmed this game

Nah but thanks.. and for the clarification

I also believe what you train does affect the roll. At the lower levels you are still training some of your primaries so I seem to find equipment that applies more for the position I am rolling for.

I did a couple examples with stamina training last night and horrible equipment. But if you train catching and get a shopping token, you seem more likely to roll a diving or jumping catch piece.

Train strength, and stuff like pancake, stiff arm, power through can show up.

Agility and it seems more likely stuff like quick cut would show up.

Also, what you train seems to determine the crap equipment you roll. If you train confidence, it seems more likely you will see equipment with confidence attached to the gear, or just confidence by itself.

That doesn't make any sense. You can store shopping points forever. You really think Bort stores the data of every single thing you trained for each of those tokens? That is a huge database burden.

I do get annoyed by the preponderance of +3% make tackle chance items.

This, tbh.
I get one each roll for all my 3 first players... It's f***ing annoying

Well I'm not sure what happens when you store tokens. I have never done that, but I can't almost guarantee what you train has an affect. I have 50+ players and I see it every time I shop.

It could store the last thing you trained, only. Not per token. That'd be reasonable to do

I was going to shop with several players last night, but I tried training stamina and looking for equipment, but it was just pathetic rolls, so I gave up quickly.

I think your original theory is more on target than mine. It could be what you train just determines the junk rolls if anything.

I'll try and document my rolls next time I do a mass shopping session for all of my players. Every blue moon I like to try and shop once for all of them, but it pains me every time I do.

I constantly get +tackling + monster tackle for my RB. Or growl. Or run block. Or anything that is completely of no use to him. Got lucky with my OT and got two protector items fast.

As an FYI...a level 28 LB will roll a Supervision piece roughly once every 120 items (40 shopping trips).

This is based off of a 300+ shopping trip sample.
