That's not at all how I see it. Compare GLB to auto racing. In peewee, everyone starts out even, on the same start line in generic 4-cylinder, 120hp cars. The race goes along for a bit, with lots of interesting overtaking and good, close competition, and then at some point someone upgrades their car to a big, 400hp V8 sports car and leaves everyone else in the dust. This may be fun for the person in the sports car, but it sucks for everyone else, and it's boring. That's why, in the past 100 years of racing, they've figured out that it's more interesting when everyone has similarly powered cars and competition is close. When it's not close, it's boring.
Of course, everyone starting at the same time is an improvement over the higher capped leagues, which have turned into essentially the faster your car, the bigger a head start the officials give you.
Why is everyone so opposed to a race where the driver's skill matters? I know, I know, "hurp derp if you boost too then competition is even," but I still fail to see how this is better than the same outcome (even playing field) and not spending extra money on browserball.
Maybe it's just because I have nothing to compensate for but in the end I guess I'd rather loose in the second round of the playoffs than spend $8.50 every season to boost my QB by three levels.
