yeah but say you have a thread that is 75 pages long and some moron comes and ruins it by saying dergatory to the team.

it shows when someone edits a post so if the owner abuses it, then people on the team can see it, if it turns out to be something really bad, PM support to revoke that person's privileges

There are pleanty of reasons to edit a post, and if your a mod for YOUR OWN FORUM, you should have a say in any post taht is made.

should have access to those same capabilities

I can't even count the numerous times a thread has been de-railed by a moron who complains about PT or whatever and fucks up the entire forum OR somebody posts something in the wrong thread by accident.

+1

+1 what about co-owners too though? that could count as well but i do like the original idea but just saying since its a co-owner and not a normal gm.

This.
which is the #1 reason, IMO, why this should be implemented

Agreed 100%

Make it a checkbox for your GMs just like everything else.

Mod Forum = lock/sticky
Admin Forum = edit, change, move, etc.

whoever the owner decides to make a forum mod should be able to. You'd only do that to guys you trust enough not to do dumb stuff.

There is never a reason for censorship. If you have a poster acting up on your forum remove HIS privileges not edit his or others. As far as your own forum I guess but still censorship is alaways gonna be censorship. Team forums should never be censored to that degree when all you have to do is remove a troublemakers privileges.

alright, so somebody comes in and makes a racist remark in an otherwise great thread, you wouldn't want to delete that post? Even if you remove his forum privledges, that post will still be there.

I'm all for freedom of speech, and all that, I coudl care less if someone said shitpissfuckcuntcocksuckermotherfuck in my forum, but when it comes down to having downright offensive remarks made in good threads, I'd want the power to edit that out if necessary.

If someone makes a comment like that you can easily have an admin remove it. They have edit privileges and read privileges on ALL forums.

great, so what. I submit a support ticket, and 5 days later they take care of it? I highly doubt cleaning out YOUR forum is near the top of their list of priorities.
