All I meant by "OFFICIAL" is that my other thread did not give an "official" suggestion, while this one does.

Obviously, this helps out the middle of the road teams that have had successful pasts. If you aren't a middle of the road team and have had a rocky past, it's not going to help you all that much until you start turning it around....but it does give you the chance to turn it around quickly, and THEN build.

I think in addition to your formula, there should be a core fanbase (the hardcore fans) that increases every season that a team is owned by the same person. The core fanbase should increase a little more for seasons that you win/make playoffs and a less for losing seasons, but should always increase. That would help the long term teams that worked their way up from BBB in season 2 to AAA or Pro and now are struggling. This also would mimic real life, as you see life long Jets fans, even when they are bad.

It's not supposed to "determine the franchises history"....It's supposed to make it to where you will get a bonus if your history is good. It STILL does that....


Winning Past Bonus - Takes into account every game played BEFORE the 24 game tracker. If you have a winning past before the season starts, it gives you a bonus based on winning %. This bonus goes away at the end of the season, recalculates, and reappears before the next season.

>50% - +5 low, +4 medium, +2 high
55% - +7 low, +6 medium, +4 high
65% - +9 low, +7 medium, +5 high
70% - +11 low, +8 medium, +6 high
75% - +13 low, +9 medium, +7 high
80% - +15 low, +10 medium, +8 high
85%< - +15 low, +11 medium, +9 high


However I assume the team he refers to, is the Cary Carpetbaggers.... The Cary Carpetbaggers support would look like :

74 / 44 / 24. I GUARANTEE their fan support is more like 50 / 15 / 0....So YES it would do a lot to their fan support. Good call though.

Ah. I missed that some of the bonuses went beyond the 24 game moving average. Reading comprehension FTL.

dmfa, if you want change the thread title to OFFICIAL SUGGESTION do so! I read your thread about posting before I posted, it said nothing about caps, so I apologize if I overstepped my bounds there..........

But in all seriousness, don't focus on the wrong parts here, can we please focus on the suggestion?
