And didn't Bort already look at all this stuff for "normal situations" and wouldn't it be too easy for a tester to just be trying to get a head start on his new playbook by testing for "normal plays?"
...do you think it's a good idea for testers to just be testing a lot of "normal plays" like that then?
I mean... I was led to believe that Bort started this test sever in large part because of the D Play creator and he seemed to state that he had it all worked out pretty well but he needed guys to come in there and try to "break it."
...what took so long and how about more of you guys just try and break it?

it's going to get broken in the preseason
in fact, if Bort could pull it off, he'd be well served allowing scrimmages this offseason, and just watch the carnage.

will we be able to stack the dots on top of each other with the DPC?
(Like what happens with the regular AI with the SS and MLB in a Cover 1, run focus)
If so, that would be the more likely used as an overload blitz than the stacking type going on in this play: http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=566&pbp_id=146447

Well in the plays that i ran all M2M cover on the HB, a position that would cause the players to "stack," they were seperate from eachother, lined up with only a little space in between them. Add in that the players are obviously getting in eachother's way on the overload blitzes, and I'd have to say that the answer to that question is no.

thanks r8! You're doing a great job keeping us updated on what you are doing.

Why not just limit the # of spies to 1? That's realistic.
Although, it is true, if a team always runs Strong-I on 1st down, and every single time it's a run, the defense would definitely key on that IRL, and stuff it big time. This forces offenses to run multiple plays from each formation and each situation, to cover their ass.
That's a good thing - if, and ONLY if the currently shitty offensive plays are actually worth a shit next season, which remains to be seen.
i agree.

Oh, this last test showed me something that I'm not sure has been mentioned.
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=604&pbp_id=154210
There's now a "knocked loose" description in the play text. This play shows it really well, too.

Another neat new thing, the ability for a WR to try to jump for a pass. Shown on this play.
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=605&pbp_id=154382
Was eventually knocked loose, but you get the point
Note that it says "bad throw" because it was overthrown, and that's when the WR gets the chance for the jumping catch.

I like this one.
Could work well with this suggestion. http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1991216&page=1

yea I figured it might be because season 7 teams were going 3 man rush and keeping everyone else in zone coverage and it was hard to pass against
