yeah the I form issue is really confusing as it is. I am for it

I would suggest adding the ability to use half yards to the "Yards to first down" section. Like a 4th and inches Input could be "0 to 0.5" instead of having to use "0 to 1".

I could see this one being a slider for individual tactics for anyone placed on the OLine, TE, HB, and FB depth Chart.

Something needs to be done about AI functionality. It is absolutely dreadful as is.

Also, I'm getting quite tired of getting the "request too large" error when saving my AI. I love having that happen after I spend 2 hours updating the AI... and losing all my changes because of it.

Lets say you are in a game who's defensive line is strong, but your strongest assett is your HB squad. They can catch, they can run inside, outside....so now its strength vs. strength.
But lets say your in the middle of a game and that defense is CRUSHING you.

SMASH SMASH SMASH!!!!

Perhaps there is a button that gauges the preset game plan every quarter....so you specify that if your running game is avg. less than 5ypc that you switch to plan B

Or perhaps you have a WR that is stud, he is part of plan A, but for some reason he is getting shut down, well plan B targets other players or allows you to change what routes he is running based on preset conditions of acceptability at junctures in the game.

perhaps even that (the junctures at which acceptability is gauged, so not just at the quarters) is an option. Lets say plan A worked perfectly, but now you want to get away from throwing and pound the rock.

what do you think???

well its in the epic suggestion thread....i would say, thats a start.
the next thing to do i post in here to degree of fandom....till we are annoying.

We are paying for a service....if they think we are happy with status quo, why change anything?!?!

i mean, i am happy, i love GLB, but there are things that drive me crazy.
this is one of those things.

In regards to the need to make inputs draggable, or the ability to create a new input at any point in your AI, instead of always at the very top...

I'm currently working on adding another down/distance setting for 3rd down defense (1 for each 2 & 3WR formation, so 6 new inputs), and since 3rd down is at the bottom of my AI, I have to click "move down" then wait 10 seconds for it to actually move about 300 times in a row.

Good times.

I can hardly wait for them to add new offensive formations...
Update: been nearly 2 hours since I started moving the inputs, just now got past the goalline inputs (about half way there). I'm fairly certain it would take less than an hour to program in a "create new input" button immediately following the end of each input that has been added already... would probably take closer to 5 minutes. This is the most aggrevating instance of programming laziness I've encountered.

- Allow us to control timeouts if we so choose.
- Be able to "command" players to run out of bounds to stop the clock, some sort of running override where if they're near the sidelines they'll duck out of bounds.
- Add a "if MORE than X seconds left" option in addition to the if LESS than that currently exists.
- Clean up the formations, the AI has "Big" formations, but those are not in the playbook. Remove them until they come back.
- Change the ball spot from a drop-down menu to an input field (leave own/opp as drop-down).
- Add a "Timeouts >= 1" since "any number" gets tripped by 0.
- Add a WR depth chart and the ability to use it. I don't know why the offensive AI doesn't allow me to target "WR1" as the primary receiver. Allow us to alter progressions.
- Add a visual for the DAI where we can see what the output would look like based on the formation. Perhaps a separate entity (like the AI tester is) to keep the page loads decent. Basically give us the visual you get in the D-play creator but for our normal DAI play creation.
- Allow us to control some "thinking" involved in blocking. Let us choose if we want the FB/HB/TE to double team a DE, watch for a specific blitzer, etc.
- Group similarities to cut back on the necessary amount of inputs. For example instead of having to to specify timeouts as 1, 2, or 3, give us the ability to say timeouts between 2 and 3.
- Flipping plays (essentially just a mirror, although it's more complicated than that).


I'll keep adding any ideas that people would foresee as a positive for the AIs, since brainstorming is always the most effective way to pull together solid ideas anyways.
