Some interesting thoughts. Here are my opinions/thoughts on them:

Cool Kicker - seems just like Calm Nerves which already exists.
Pooch Kick - I like this, but we would need more ST AI logic for this to be an option.
ST General - I like the General SAs but when I think "kicker" I don't think "leader"
Keep Away - Is very similar to Nail In Coffin VA with a little bit more logic that would be needed in the ST AI logic.

My fault on the title.

Calm Nerves is a SA not VA.

Yes Pooch Kick needs some A.I. abilities.

S.T. General, you don't think that Adam Vinatieri, Jeff Feagles or Jan Stenerud is not a leader.

Nail in the Coffin only seems to activate when the kick is inside the 20. What if you are punting from the other end of the field and you get it to the 40. Than you are kicking straight up in the air right in the middle of the field.

Copying this here as it needs to be:

Kicker SAs do this:
- Increase kicking accuracy. (Calm Nerves)
- Increase kicking velocity. (Big Boot)
- Increases accuracy on kicks deemed short, with expanding range. (Automatic)

Kicker VAs do this:
- Increases kickoff power. (Booming Kick)
- Increases kicking accuracy and power in late game situations where FG would win or tie. (Laces Out)
- Increases confidence for consecutive kicks made. (On a Roll)

Punter SAs do this:
- Increase punting accuracy. (Calm Nerves)
- Decreases punt velocity on high angle kicks. (Hang Time)
- Increases kick velocity. (Big Boot)

Punter VAs so this:
- Increase punting power from inside 20. (Leg of Steel)
- Increase chance of coffin corner. (Nail In Coffin)


Then there's of course the Clutch VA, Big Heart VA, Hometown Hero VA, Streaky VA, +attribute VAs, etc. There's not much room for an SA type ability. Can't have duplicates. I guess you could squeeze in a cheesy situation specific VA, but nothing of SA quality for the most part.

I thought for kickers Bort could cannabalize the Booming Kick VA but nothing really for punters. Obviously it would be great if you could select for your kickoffs to be handled by a kicker or punter (but then that's a whole different issue since punters wouldn't have kicking). From a realistic standpoint that would be a good (quite a few punters in the NFL handle kickoffs for their team).

Perfect counter to the new Short Yardage Monster:


Backfield Terror: This defender gets extra amped up if he's got a shot to make a play in the backfield. He gains +4% to make tackle chance and +4% to avoid fake chance if he is across the line of scrimmage.

Arrow out of Bow: The Player gets a burst of speed that slowly go down: more levels means the longer the burst

Probably something that should have been released with the new archetypes... sort of a paper-rock-scissors with the archetypes.

Defense:

Player X gets +.5% to all attributes when blitzing versus a Pocket Passer, +0% to all attributes when blitzing a Deep Passer, -.5% when blitzing versus a scrambler.
(Also one for the opposite scenario)

OR

Player X gets +.5% to all attributes when attempting to break the block of a Run Blocking Archetype, -.5% to all attributes when attempting to break the block of a Pass Blocking Archetype
(Also one for the opposite)

Offense:

QB gets +.5% when passing into man coverage, -.5% when passing into zone or when the archetype covering the pass is of those two archetypes.

Just a little something to shake up the VAs and make it so that if one archetype is chosen 4:1 over another that it makes it more valuable to have players differentiate their builds.

I like the idea of negative bonuses as well as positive. Most players aren't all around awesome, they have strengths and weaknesses. Actually choosing a man-coverage archetype for your DB should result and a bonus when playing in man-to-man, but a penalty to playing in zone or blitzing, and so on for other types.\

Highlight Throws
Deep Passers only.
Deep Passes will get a bonus to Accuracy +2%
Deep Passes will also get a bonus to Throw Distance +2%
Works best in Clutch situations like 4th Quarter and OT.
Fame Must be atleast 800
