This includes Hood, War machine and Swat who are all established and on the same 4 AEQ slow build route

Okay, fine. Two different 3-AEQ power HBs. One goes with Strength, Agility, and Carrying as their top 3 attributes -- all majors. The other goes with Confidence, Strength, and Agility as their top 3 attributes -- again, all majors. If you do the training and the rest of their builds the exact same way, both dots will end with the same Player Value, but I guarantee the first dot will outperform the second one.

KC may have the highest Player Values of any 3-AEQ team. They still finished 10-6 and lost by 14 in the first round of the playoffs to a team with lower Player Value, because while Player Value matters (and matters a lot, don't get me wrong), it's not the only thing that matters.

This isn't a Player Value contest; it's a football simulator.

Nope. This is literally an optimal build path thread. Your excuses are getting ridiculous trying to justify lower builds. KC has wins over the top teams anyways. So again your argument is just trash

Then build the optimal player. No AEQ. No SA's. ALL Sp's into skills. ALL BT's turned into SP's. Since PV and EL is 100% based on only skill values, you should do this. And then you'd win every game... right?

Talking to clowns like you is insane. Your builds are terrible skill point value so you declare you are a specialty build lol. We all know what the builds are at this point. You dont have a specialty build lmaooooo. Your low skill point means your cookie cutter build is subpar. You were the guy yelling on discord bet your house if you know the best strategy. Why have the convo if you dont care about elite skill point values with full 3 piece aeq. Just because KC exposed all your nonsense talk about best build path you want to switch convo to coordinating lol. Ill remind you KC has 2 wins over Cane and WL didnt start so lolpros.

its a cold hard fact Comets are highest skill point team in the game and boosted early

You don't get to spend the entire damn thread bragging about your team's Player Value and then pretend you're actually talking about build style and not Player Value. You've been talking about Player Value as if it's more important than Win/Loss record, playoff results, or trophies, and declaring KC is the best team by virtue of Player Value. And yet KC finished 10-6, barely made the playoffs, and got thumped in the first round and lost 6 other games to teams with lower Player Values than KC.

Your team is not as good as you think it is. And as I demonstrated with my 3 AEQ HB example, two dots can have identical Player Values but different end builds and perform vastly differently. Player Value measures how efficiently you put SPs into Majors, but not all Majors are equally important for a particular position and archetype.

Confidence and Strength are both Majors for power HBs. If one HB has 95 Strength and the other HB has 95 Confidence, the Player Value formula insists both dots are equally good. That right there should tell you that, while Player Value matters, it should not be your only barometer for how good or bad a dot is.

Player Value is a tool. So is a screwdriver. But if you use a screwdriver to hammer nails into a board, you're going to have a bad day.

Stirred up a bit of a hornet nest I see.

So um yeah... The point I was trying to make, which others have essentially confirmed, is that if there is a difference, it's likely 1 attribute point and not worth skipping boosts over.

The dots will be equally viable either way. As usual, coordinator skill and scheme fit will have much greater impact on dot success than skipping boosts will.

Nah, that's just me. I had an unusual amount of free time at work and at home this week, and I got bored. Don't worry, I'll get busy again on Monday and will go back to lurking, I'm sure.

Also, how the hell did we get to page 5 of a thread titled "I Was Wrong" without anyone posting this?
