Playing with the VPB a lot more than usual the last couple of days, I know there is a standard BT estimate many use when trying to plan 3 AEQ vs. 4 AEQ, anyone have that handy?

I'm guessing 3 AEQ ~1200, 4 AEQ ~1550?

4 aeq with 75 point skills is 1700, unless you are able to save some shopping. Two 75 point with two 38 point pieces is 1,626, again if you don't save some shopping.

I always aim for roughly 1600 and shop. Usually works out great. Sometimes I get screwed out of an upgrade or two.

Keep in mind idk anything about dotbuilding.

But I always thought the assumption was 1200 3AE and 1600 4AE.

425+425+368+368 = 1586 if that's up your alley.

Yeah, 1600 is my ball park, no idea what will translate to in days yet. Used to be easy to remember, age 160 for 1600.

Ok. So this one took me a while but I've wanted this for a long time. Something real easy to look at and figure out EXACTLY what I need, when I need it, when to switch to light training for BT's, and all that jazz.
NOTE! This is based off of the idea of a 4 AEQ dot but will work for 3 or less AEQ as well. The numbers are the same. It also assumes you HAVE all 4 AEQ already and does NOT consider the cost of purchasing (or building) the AEQ... only what you need to FINISH the AEQ (which is 1,200 BT's for 4 AEQ).

How it works is simple. Just use the Key;

Season # is the season of the dot's career. There are 8 seasons in a dot's growing life, not counting the few days into his Plateau (the preseason before final boosts).

The Day # is the day of that season.

The = 6 is the number of BT's you'll get for light training that day. (A simple reminder)

The number inside the (#)'s is the number of BT's you need to finish your AEQ... counting backwards from the last day of the dot at plateau. I did it this way so you could look at your dot, note the current day in his career, and see exactly how many BT's you will get if you switched to Light Training right at that day. This is the most important part of it all. An easy way to know exactly where you are and what you need. Just take all the BT's you have currently, add in any BT value in AEQ upgrades you've already done so far, subtract that from 1,200 (max needed for a 4 AEQ dot) and viola`! You know what day you need to stop Multi-training at!
(NOTE!!! Pay attention to the DAY as well as your dot's AGE as players do NOT age during the off season or the preseason!)
(NOTE!!! I did NOT include the last few final days of Preseason before final boosts and Plateau. This is a BT cushion just in case you get it wrong by a day or two! Always allow for 'shit happens'!)

Example; I have a 4 AEQ dot, age 158 days. He has 4 AEQ that have already been upgraded with 30 BT's so far. He has 20 BT's in his pocket. That's 50. 50-1,200= 1,150 total BT's needed to finish out his AEQ. I find that number (1,150) and see that I must stop today (day 37, age 157, season #5), at his current age, to get enough BT's to finish. And so I did just that.
