5 starring a skill is a waste of BT too unless you are not going to apply SPs to it. I only 1 starred mine. it just gets to the 20% and under training so quickly. i've seen CBs with 140s speed match wr with 160s. the only reason i do it is for ST. matched with 1st step and closing speed, those become some killer coverage guys on returns. i love watching fast stops run down returners from behind, or even better those 55+ yard faircatches. i actually saw a 70 yard fair catch once

someone used to have a speed convsrion that you could see the difference between the various speeds.

Not really. If you do it ASAP in a build it'll help it grow faster. When the attribute hits 94 the intense train is worth 6%, but the Normal train is worth 5% so you can make up BTs earning more than with 4-way training. Also, Normal training after 100 will be 2% which is the same as Intense.

I would never do a 110+ natural build without doing 5*

Stats after the first season were ok, missed some long range field attempts, but to be expected.

Natural strength up to 90 at d40.

All the time. It depends on the build plan, and if there is more wanted from the build or not. Or as TJ mentioned, you need a skill or skills at a high level.

I agree... although I seldom use that tactic myself I have used it. It really depends mostly on one major thing and Guppy was right about that part... it has to be (IMO) a skill you plan on training forever otherwise it is a waste of BT's. Usually on those kinds of builds where you are trying for a really high natural skill... like Strength on an O-lineman or a DT... or speed like a returner dot. Maybe Throwing on a QB? And almost always it's going to end up being a 3 AEQ dot.

2nd season and going strong.

During reg season 134 made of 136 XP, and 3 FG made out of 3, 2 of which were 30-39 yards. League champion to boot.

Natural str 102.54

We should do an entire team of dots like this!

I remember back in the day, a guy made a pHB that had nothing but Confidence for first four seasons - the dude absolutely rocked! Of course, by season 6, he sucked so bad he gave up the test, but for a while, his shit didn't stink, and he knew it!

I've seen better luck with the exact opposite test build - a "square" dot that trained and leveled up all majors equally - it was a possession WR build and it actually performed quite well all the way into the pros. Put him in the WR3 slot, had him apply all the good slot and possession SA and VAs and the dude would catch everything thrown his way (couldn't outrun anyone, but didn't need to - just catch the ball) IIRC, the dot was max height and had good jump skills too.

Edit: Looked at the dot - why the Strong Base SA? Gonna push your blockers out of the way before you kick so you can see better? Actually, this is a super start for a kicker - I fully understand you want a test dot, but this could turn out to be one hell of a kicker if you start training and applying points in your other majors... just sayin'

Thanks for the considered reply HighRoller...I'm now torn between the original plan, and taking on board your ideas with making this build an actual kicker....
