To go from 126 to 127 cost 120 SPs, I had to cash in a few BTs to get it even

That 36% training on strength could have been switched to Light to get the 1400 BTs that it would take to buy 4 pieces of +3 gear, with no bonuses, and get all 10 upgrades

if you add in the Strength VA you'd hit 191+

There's probably a more optimized way to boost, and the VPB doesn't allow for training break throughs... I'd guess 195 would be a theoretical maximum total.

anyone have the player value script working,, I'm curious about a final PV for this dot

That may be the most important part of your post. I haven't been able to get the player value script and the VPB to play nicely together since I returned to GLB, and I'd love to know if anyone else has had more luck than me.

Thing is that 191 is a bit too much in the end (yeah... it's a punter... I know) for the primary skill your trying to max out. With a speed WR you still need catching or you end up with a worse version of James Jett... and some agility to get himself going a little (first step could solve some of that easy enough). What I'm looking for is more speed that 99.5% of most DB's on the field. You just need to be the fastest dot on the field by just enough to get open on those bomb routes.

TJ pretty much what i was looking at....200 may be impossible EVEN with VAs

That was with Punter 0.67 ALGs. The process could probably be refined a bit. But, yeah there's no way to milk another 9 points out of it.

I have no idea about Max Speed. In theory, on a kickoff, with the Special Teamer VA, you could break into the 200s. There's no way to know what Route Runner, and maybe Scat Back for HBs would come out to. Tunnel Vision and 1st Step for a Blitzer...

This is all just mental masterbation though. The dot would be useless with the highest other attributes being 40.

I agree that some catching is needed, but is a James Jett that bad? With all of the cookie cutter builds out there, isn't it nice to have a big play threat for opposing teams to consider, even if he is inconsistent?

In this day and age, who's to say that a dot will be a 'he'? As Mr Trudeau says, 'it's 2018'.

idk, interested on my punter because str/vis will still be 70 and conf will be 50. Agility/jumping will be in the 40-50 range and speed/stam will be 15-20

So I think the punter can still be viable, not sure how much confidence effects build, i guess we'll find out. So far the punter is doing really well, even compared to other punters I've built for this level.

As a REAL Football player, nah... Jett dropped his share of passes but also scored a lot of bombs as well. Decent trade off but I think, because of the negatives (GLB) applied for everything, (distance of throw which not only effects ability to catch but also accuracy of pass and quality of pass, ect, ect, ect...) that you need at least good enough catching (even more than agility) along with things like Catch In Stride and anything else you can use to help make the catch. He's still gonna drop some just because there's no way GLB would allow such a super exploit to exist without some kind of 'nerf' and I'm pretty sure that's the pass distance problem. Just consider all the SA's and VA's that help you with 'long passes' and that alone tells me there's some serious negative statuses applied to throwing bombs. Hell, they even made an Archetype based on the difficulty of throwing deep passes.
All that said, I think to even get good James Jett results you'll need to build the whole shebang smart. You'll need one helluva O-line to keep the QB from being buried alive while he waits for the WR to get beyond the last defender... one helluva bomber QB that is as accurate as possible, even with super long throws... and the WR who can do it.

i've seen multiple players hit 170 with eq. i have a level32 that is at 100.88 so if i dont spend any more SP i'll end up at 111.1. it'll cost me 22sp to add another by the time i get enough sp to boost again, so not sure if i will or not.

i vaguely remember seeing a wr with 175 and he said that it wasnt worth the last few because of the cost

It does reach stupid spending somewhere out there. I always have had both a question and an idea. The question being if a CB has 169 speed and a WR has 170 speed, how fast does the gap spread and, with VA's and SA's, can it actually be closed? The idea being that if the answers to the questions are 'fast enough' and 'no' then you only need to be 1 faster than anything else on the field... otherwise all bets are off. Either way, it gets way too expensive to push a skill with SP's at some point. Much better to do nothing but intense (training) early and 5 star the skill and, also, train for life of dot.
