Prep Competitive League #1 is at the halfway point and this league has so much talent in it that there are nine teams that have a legitimate chance of winning the golden trophy this season.
Game of the Week: North Dallas Football Club (69) v. Yuma Fokkers(19): As a Cleveland Browns Season Ticket holder (Section 131, Row 2), Minxy knows just how important it is to avoid a winless season. Minxy watched this battle between these two losing clubs with great anticipation to see which one would get its first win of the season. Surprisingly after a scoreless first quarter the Yuma Fokkers uncorked a flurry of offense taking a 12-0 lead and then later in the second quarter extended that lead to 19-7. At that point, (QB)Antonious Romoius -owned by SaraGrimp had seen enough losing this season. (QB) Antonious Romoius told his teammates to follow his example as he threw three long touchdown passes and inspired a 69-19 victory for the North Dallas Football Club. After the game ended in victory for the North Dallas Football Club, the excited winning team drank Shiner Boch beer on the bus ride back to North Dallas and sang "We are the Champions" over and over to the dismay of the bus driver.
Offensive Player of the Week: (QB) American QB -owned by jerryv: In one of the closest games of the week, American Muscle and Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts battled each other in a nip and tuck game that looked destined for overtime. After nearly 4 quarters of play the game stood at a 10-10 tie with 25 seconds left in the game. That is when (QB) American QB took the field at the 50 yard line and willed his team to victory with this long touchdown run:

Defensive Player of the Week: (LB) JenVale Starks -owned by -Rod-: The Rhode Island Red Wolves defense faced a daunting task this week; stopping the superstar play makers arrayed against them on the Paris Bull Dawgs offense. Of particular concern was the Bull Dawg halfback, Ultimo Selig. While even the mighty Red Wolves defense could not completely stop (HB) Ultimo Selig, the Red Wolves' star linebacker, JenVale Starks helped to contain him. On the day, (LB) JenVale Starks made 5 tackles but 3 of those tackles were impressive tackles for loss of (HB)Ultimo Selig deep inside Bull Dawg territory.
Special Teams Player of the Week: (P ) My Mom says I'm Special - owned by Medicated: Finally! Medicated's Free the Weed team came out on the winning side of a close game. This was a hard fought victory for Free the Weed as their opponent, The Devil's Brigade has one of the top offenses in the league. Medicated used his punter, My Mom says I'm Special, to win the battle of field position and stifle the potent Brigade offense by making them work with a long field. (P ) My Mom says I'm Special averaged 32,3 yards a punt and had 2 coffin corner punts and 2 punts inside the 5 yard line.
