The Fire are off to a smoking start at the quarter pole. They've got some early boosters which is giving them a small edge at the moment. They've got a big game tomorrow.
Paris Smexies - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=835
A mystery wrapped in an enigma. After gutting out a huge win against Team France, they stumbled against a team they should have beat handily. On paper they have the best defense in the entire league thus far, but have also had one of the easiest schedules. Contenders or Pretenders?

Sitting at .500 for the moment, but have played the toughest teams in Alpha. They lost a heart breaker as time expired. They did have a big loss against the Fire, but that should prove to be educational--and perhaps fuel a fire of their own.

Came out of nowhere to Stun the Smexies and played them to a draw. There's some early boosting players on this team which could catch another team napping as well. If this roster ever gets filled out, they'll have as much chance as anyone in Alpha.

Curse of the computer owner teams. CPU players aren't the push over they used to be.
College Station Aggies - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=1415
Being Human owned was likely the determining factor in the beat down the took at the hands of the Academy. It's all a moot point though.
Quick Take: Alpha was pretty much sorted out from the start. It'll just be a matter of seeding from here on out. That top seed will be a coveted prize. The 2nd vs. 3rd seed playoff game will be a blood bath for whoever ends up there.
Zeta Conference Power Rankings

EK has asserted itself as the team to beat in Zeta. They've already notched victories over the toughest teams in Zeta. As long as they hold course, they should prove to be the top team in the entire league. A lot can happen in 12 weeks though.
Cincinnati Spartans - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=115
The Spartans dropped a key loss to EK, in fairly convincing fashion. They've still have a quality team, and an easy route to the playoffs. In the playoffs it doesn't matter the number off losses or the size of the margins, 1 win by one point is enough.
Transylvania Slaughter - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=8
Transylvania is another team that could cause a lot of headaches if they ever got their defense filled out. By the end of the season, there's just going to be too much of a gap for them to compete for a trophy.
Dirty Island Gurupies - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=1150
The DIG team pulled all their strings and bare filled out the roster. They're a team with a lot of the top dot builders in the game. They are completely focused on World League however, so any team that pays attention and does a minimal amount of scouting will take them out at will.

The former Rugby club, is under new management. That alone could make them a contender for that last playoff spot. With some continued effort and a little luck they might get into striking distance before it's too late.

All computer, 0 cares. Not a winning formula.
Quick Take: There's a bit more drama in Zeta, but it's approximately the same. The 1st vs. 4th seed game should be much more winnable than the 2nd vs. 3rd seed game.
