Alpha Conference Power Rankings

California Fire OG - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=346
CFOG has the #1 seed locked up, barring an inexplicable stumble against much lesser competition. The team is currently trending downward however, recently losing against EK and the up and coming France Team. Realistically, even in the worst case scenario, the CFOG would end with a 12-4 record.

Paris Smexies - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=835
Smexies are a team that just can't seem to get over the hump. They recently played Transylvania to a draw. They already know they are facing a super tough France Team in the playoffs. They only thing left is the battle for Home field advantage in that game. Should the Smexies go all out trying to win that game, or save some surprises for the playoffs? In the worse case scenario, the Smexies could end at 9-5-2 which could drop them into the 3rd seed. If the Smexies win out, they'll be sitting at 11-3-2.

France Team - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=563
Tomorrow is basically the last game of the season for France Team. After the Smexies, they have cream puff opponents. France would love to pull out a win in the game, but they're in the same situation as the Smexies. Do they tip their hand for the playoffs? France could sneak back into the second seed, if the Smexies lose to the CFOG.France will most likely end at 11-5 or 10-6.

Global Warming - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=397
Keeps kicking around and could prove to be a spoiler team. They have games at France and CFOG to end the season, and then face CFOG in the first round of the playoffs. They did get beat fairly soundly by the Smexies yesterday, so that scenario seems unlikely... unless they're playing possum for the playoffs, since they have nothing at stake.

Quick Take: The winner of tomorrows France/Smexies game will most likely be facing the CFOG for the Alpha trophy .gif. CFOG's early boosting advantage is wearing away rapidly and will be completely gone in the playoffs. This is pretty much anyone's game.

Zeta Conference Power Rankings

Elder Knowledge - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=384
EK has proven to be the juggernaut. They've steamrolled all competition in this league and have also done the same in the league tournament thus far. They are the heavy favorites to win the league trophy .gif.

Cincinnati Spartans - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=115
The Spartans are another great team that had the misfortune of having EK in their conference. The Spartans will most likely end the season with a mere 2 loses, both to EK. It will be up to them to scrape together an amazing game plan to take on EK in the playoffs for the Zeta .gif.

Transylvania Slaughter - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=8
The Slaughter have proven to be an aggravatingly tough team to a lot of opponents this season. The best of the best seem to have their blocking WRs figured out, while everyone else is struggling to contain their outside running attack. It's most likely not in the card for TS to be in the trophy hunt this season, but they could prove to cause long terms problems for everyone in this age bracket for seasons to come.

Dirty Island Gurupies - http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=1150
DIG. They exist. They do not care. They will face EK in the first round of the playoffs which would be an unwinnable game, even if they did suddenly decide to wake up. DIG is solely focused on WL, and will be battling EK for the gold .gif in the distant future. Until then, they hibernate.

Quick Take: TS just got crushed by the Spartans, which will give everyone a blueprint of how to beat them. The regular season doesn't matter anymore. Can the Spartans beat EK 1 time, by 1 point? That's all it would take. Then the league gold .gif would be an easier game.

Thanks for the write up TJ Spikes!

Spartans have a lot of things to sort out before the playoffs before we start worrying about gifs.
