Yes it's past the time to make new dots because of how the age based leagues are built. You could still make use of your FREE players for the rest of this season though. Build a couple of players and reteach yourself how the training, leveling and skill point systems work. I would strongly suggest not building a QB at this time as there is a glut of them.

Don't buy any Custom Equipment for those players.

There still might be some rookie teams that can use your players for this season, but if not, you can always sign them to CPU TEAM for this season.

Play the season out and retire those players at the end of the season. Usually around day 20 there will be teams looking for rookie players for next season which you could more than likely latch on with for the upcoming seasons.

There are various build guides or strategies that most seasoned agents use for building their players. You might find some useful information here http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4727994 most of it is old.....

Maybe Wise has a build guide he'd be willing to share

Hey Kurt or Wise or pretty much anyone, is anyone planning on doing a rookie team?

Some teams start posting here around day 20ish.... sometimes sooner.

Keep your options open, do a little research on the teams looking for players by trying to find a team that has been established for awhile. Some teams are rebooting because of age, while some are Farm teams for established Pro and World League teams.

Yeah, I've done that before. I was just asking you personally. I'd like to help out if at all possible.

None of the teams I'm associated with have expressed the desire to do so yet for next season.

Yeah, that sounds good. I'd like to make some contacts in this game if at all possible, as I couldn't before because I didn't have the money to actually make an impact

I can tell you that one of the better Mods, whose team I play for, should be rebooting sometime before long. If not next season, then season after. JC's a great owner with a core buncha good peeps to work with and for.

Question on long reach and defensive lineman.

Does the D line attempt a pass deflect on every pass ?

If so does he only attempt when its thrown his way, middle (NT) and or (DTs) Weak side, RDE and strong side LDE.

and if Long reach is max @ 45%, will all passes have a 45% chance for a re-roll ?

A D-lineman will have a chance to deflect a pass only if it comes within that players pass deflecting radius (which is based on attributes including height and jumping).

blackrock covered it nicely but I'll add this as well. I've built D-linemen for exactly that purpose... and have built D-linemen with no extra attempt to try for deflects... and the difference between them was very insignificant. Height matters and most people build their D-linemen tall. That alone seems to have the highest effect when combined with QB's trying to throw bullet passes. Any jumping you can add really helps too and, since jumping is something you want to help with Diving Tackles anyways, then it's generally going to be there for you anyways. Adding 'Long Reach' never did significantly effect the overall numbers for any D-lineman I ever built when considering Deflections. HOWEVER, Towering Man DID help boost the numbers some and would be my choice over Long Reach for any D-line build.
Where Long Reach really works is for LB's and DB builds. It really helps them a lot there. For whatever reason Long Reach just doesn't seem to do much for D-linemen. IMHO.
