I would say its essential to liberty.

Go fund your own army, and navy and airforce.

Lets say "over taxation" is an affront to liberty.

There really only needs to be one tax, and that's a sales tax.

I'm a big fan of paring sales tax with a smaller progressive income tax.

I am a big fan of converting taxable income to assets and inventory so that you poor bastards who make high wages can pay more.

I really don't mind paying taxes at all. I just like that system because when I went to college at ndsu that was what north dakota was doing. It doesn't fuck with your paycheck all that much and you pay for your involvement in society. North Dakota is a well run state, and fargo is a gorgeous metro area.

I'd much rather have the tax dollars that I spend NOW be spent a little more wisely then discuss new methods of fucking me.

Exactly.

I think everyone would be surprised at how receptive people are to paying taxes when they see value in it. The shipping companies that operate on the Mississippi all agreed to a barge transport tax hike IF that money went to lock and dam upgrades and it was almost unanimous when that stipulation was added.

Grand Forks is a nice town as well, you get west of there though and it gets dicey. I haven't been up there since the oil boom.

Did you ever make it east on 94 at all. Alexandria, MN is a real nice area, That isn't far from Detroit Lakes, MN either.
