To me this raises the question of what cheating is. It can't be JUST breaking a rule. If Marshawn Lynch had worn gold shoes, would he have been cheating? He obviously would have broken a rule. It must be breaking a rule in such a way that gives you an advantage. The Patriots played BETTER in the second half, not worse when the deflated balls were removed. Have you guys ever thrown footballs or worked with QBs? It's hard to imagine Tom Brady would want a ball at 10.5 psi.

There's a reason Aaron Rodgers likes his balls inflated to the max. It helps a lot on deep throws. Tom may like a ball with less air - our HS QB does as well for the grip, but dropping down to 10.5 psi on purpose seems like a stretch. That would seriously hamper any attempts at deep passing. It seems more likely to me that some equipment malfunction led to this. It was hurting the Pats in the first half and once it was rectified at halftime they played better. Not actually sure why the story has been presented as cheating at all. When something happens with equipment that hurts your performance, how is it speculated that you were cheating to bring that disadvantage about?

Are you sure they only had football issues for one half of one game. The colts raised this issue to the league back in November after their regular season game. The only reason the balls were tested at all was this issue was one to watch for when playing the patriots. Seems odd that the one time the NFL tests the patriots footballs at halftime (which isn't the norm) they failed the test.

There is surveillance video showing the attendant taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field, sources tell FOX Sports.

Now you're telling me a guy was deflating footballs that Tom Brady was using, without Tom Brady or the HeadCoach knowing it ?

They really think we're stupid

So Brady practiced all week with 12,5 PSI Balls... bring his footballs to the officials at 12,5 PSI... but a guy deflated them to 10.5 ... and h'es working for the Pats... dam I guess he didnt want the Pats to win.... OR

Brady knew it and is a liar (best explanation)

Scape goat has been found... currently in witless protection at this time so no name is being released. Rumor mill has equipment assistant as the unnamed future victim of this witch hunt.

I'm a Steelers fan but it's ridiculous what's going on. What makes it even more ridiculous is that illegal activities of the Vikings and Panthers warming footballs and the admission of Aaron Rodgers that he over inflates past the point of allowance. The Vikings and Panthers were warned and nothing happened to Rodgers so even if the Pats are found guilty what punishment should they face given what's already happened this season?

And it's ways the Colts who want action against the Pats after they gets their asses handed to them in the playoffs.

lolz, u guys have to resort to shady/sly tactics to win. when u guys actually play straight up u lose. the giants proved that twice.

however its still a interesting matchup. gronk vs thomas and chancellor

the thing about Rodgers - and its been said a lot of times - is that he can over inflate his footballs but when they are tested by the refs 2h15 before kickoff, the refs will adjust the balls between 12,5-13,5 PSI.

The problem with the Pats is that someone, after the refs tested the balls, altered the footballs which is illegal
