Either Corndog lied or Bort lied, but we know for a fact that it was a lie because we know for a fact that level 1 unnamed retired players have never been shown on the retired list in GLB's history. We also know that you could still see unnamed retired players on your list long, long after the breakthrough change that put an end to people rolling massive amounts of new players. So we're looking for a reason that isn't a lie, basically.

Funny how you can click the MVP icon or Trophy icons on your page and see the players who won them, but those same players don't display on the retired players page. Something definitely isn't broken, it's just too lazy to be fixed.

Anyone wonder if the Catch22 firing was coincidental or just the fact that they no longer needed anyone on the payroll to look over GLB1 anymore?

Definitely the second reason, we still buy flex and play whether they do anything or not.
I won't be surprised when one day I come to log on and this page goes straight to a 404. I won't even shed a tear. I'll simply let out a sigh of relief that the nightmare finally ended. And then I'll go back to my morning heroin binge and my abusive girlfriend.

Any way to get Bort to look at this again? Retired level 1's never did show up.

as this obviously does not help with past retired players.it is the thing to do now.

Therefore I suggest someone make a suggestion in the proper forum to make the default selection "keep my players name forever" , that way it can be ignored properly.

I brought this up with Bort last week. He confirmed again that being able to view Retired Players named "Retired Player" causes a server issue and the simplest solution was to disable the option to view Retired Players named "Retired Player". (Like the old joke "Doctor, it hurts when I do this." "Then don't do that.")
Other possible fixes were discussed, but it sounds like fixing the problem to where "Retired Player"s can safely be viewed again is going to be a little more difficult / time-consuming than you'd think... I don't reckon that finding that solution is his top priority today, but I can confirm that Bort is aware of the issue and I'm sure there will be a solution eventually.
