Just keep the name upon retirement and have no issue.

Weird. No one else besides you can.

Maybe he's one of those guys that retires his player names.

I never understood why anyone would in the past, but now its the only way to keep them (besides winning MVP)

Corndog explained why this hasn't (and can't) be fixed back on pages 3 and 4. I wish we had better news for you, but if Bort has already confirmed it can't be fixed, what more are you guys looking for?

We weren't satisfied with that explanation, because it doesn't make sense.

The player data is clearly there, and still accessible: that's why we can still up individual retired players by manually entering the players ID number into the URL bar.

3 months ago, the Retired Players Tab worked just fine and displayed all of your retired dots except for dots that had been retired at Level 1. Then all of a sudden, it stopped working.

When you take all of that together, it simply doesn't mesh with the explanation that Corndog gave on Pages 3 and 4. So, we're not satisfied with that explanation, since it sounds like Corndog and/or Bort are mis-understanding what the problem is and/or what is causing the problem, and are giving a nonsensical explanation based on that mis-understanding -- or worse, are trying to fob nonsense off on us to make us go away.

So, what we're looking for is either A.) the issue to be fixed, or B.) to be given an explanation that actually matches the facts as we know them and that doesn't insult our intelligence.

Got it now, euchrid?

Good. Now, run along and go get Bort in here.

YEP. As aggravating as he could be sometimes, he was at least capable of admitting when he was wrong on something once he was presented with enough information for him to realize he was wrong. That gave him a certain amount of credibility.

Everyone else at WGG? Not so much.

I probably shouldn't have named all my players "Retired Player".

The truth.

I think jdbolick was spot on with his response to Corndog.

Hey, here's an idea: maybe you shouldn't comment if you don't actually know what's happening, especially when you know someone is around who knows better and will call you on your bullshit. Level 1 unnamed retired players were never saved. They never appeared in the retired list at any point in GLB's history. Additionally, unnamed retired players disappeared when GLB2 was rolled out, so it had something to do with that. The breakthough change was about a year ago and had nothing to do with this.
