HOT DAMM!

ProKop made a goodie!

I concur and to add to this... keep the 4 preseason scrimmages, just have them back to back to back to back.
No need for a day off during preseason nothingness.

As for training.... what the heck am I saying all of this for, we all know this is NGTH right.
*stepping back out of the lolsuggestions thread*

This. I am totally against a shortened OFF season. After all the time I spent here during the season, and all the hours spent, and all the money spent, I am spent. I WANT my time off. PERIOD. You don't like that, fine Vote for this pile of crap. But I'm a NO vote. Now... a shortened preseason... yeah. That'd be cool.

All they had to do was to allow teams to cut/release players as soon as they are eliminated and allow contracts to be sent and agreed to (except for still contending teams), we could have put the recruiting delays and the lengthy off-season behind us a long time ago.

Shorten the offseason and allow teams not in the playoffs or eliminated from the playoffs to cut and sign players with the 1 point chem hit instead of the full regular season cost.

sure giving the bad teams an advantage is always a good idea. Whats next? Setting all players on both teams to an equal level before kickoff, so bad teams having a chance beating better teams?

1. As long as training points, team chemistry and individual morale all scale proportionally, then I'm OK with it - although, like Theo, I do enjoy the break.

2. Recruiting usually starts about 2/3 of the way through the season, when owners issue extended contracts. This is about when teams that are thinking of folding announce it and the roster is picked clean by the vultures in about three days. Most teams simply stay together for the duration - so recruiting is moot point...

3. I like preseason to four days, you can always insta scrim if you want to work on stuff.

Of course he simplified the process a bit...but full details on how this could be done has been re-hashed on various threads for years so he probably didn't feel it necessary to go in depth on it again.

I remember myself seeing several threads on it. It was all spelled out as to covering contracts (back when player money meant something), how to cover team rollover, and every other issues I can think of.

Could have and should have been fixed around season 6-7 tbh.

Yea that sounds just like one that has never had the frustrations of filling your roster with quality players! Yes it's easy to fill a roster, but not easy at all to find or sign the quality player, as they wait to the end of the off season to sign!

I can understand why the off-season is boring for agents who don't own or coordinate, but shortening it would be terrible for those who do. It's too bad mini-games were never added because that would be one solution, while another would be to have scheduled scrims throughout the off-season so that those agents have something to look at.

Not really. You can't let go agents late in the season and allow them to switch around teams. Between the age based leagues and the unfairness to people still in a playoff hunt it really makes no sense at all. The promotion/demotion process already is a bitch as it is. That would only make it infinite more difficult.

Mostly this though. Being a coordinator wipes a guy out all season. Give us a little break. Too bad they couldn't use GLB2's idea with GLB1 giving guys d league like pick up games.
