jdbolick, I don't know where you got your info, but Bort has publcally stated there is little if no penalty at the OL and DL positions. Your viewpoint may be based on the fact that Gs and OTs are most often BUILT differently and LOTs especially have access to the Protect SA, which will only work for players PLAYING at the LOT position.

Bort has stated that the minimum out of position penalty is 5%. You're also posting misinformation about the other positions, as it is absolutely untrue that HB<->WR is "Roughly 5%." It's at least 10% if not higher. So playing guards at offensive tackle incurs a 5% penalty right from the start, which is huge. That's the amount you get from Player Appreciation Day promotions, the most expensive kind of team promotion there is.

And in the future I would prefer if you asked questions rather than having the temerity to "correct" me when I'm not wrong. I'm me and you're you. Please act accordingly.

If he has three well built OTs, he should be able to rotate. If two are pass blocking OTs, use a runblocking TE to help on the right side, and think about playing the single ROT on normal (-10%).

This is awful advice. No one should ever play on anything other than intense given that the number of plays no longer affects experience as it did in the earliest days of the game. Please do not post advice to other people unless you're sure you know what you're talking about.

Donner's just trying to be helpful.

Are energy settings definitely useless now?

I have wondered if you might not get a bit of an inherent "Slow Starter" effect by using Normal. Not wondered enough to try it though. Has it been tried?

Trying to be helpful is fine. Saying that I'm wrong when I'm correct is not.
