PT would seem to fire when the rush bar is towards power, Spin fires more when back is elusive.... This is an assumption..

A wrong assumption. PT fires equally as much per touch independent on the slider bar. Spin has a bonus the more elusive the slider is.

Couple things to note about Hurdle. ---Hurdle is the only SA that can trigger along with all of the other broken tackle SAs, and is also overwritten. If both Power Through and Hurdle fire at the same time, it only says Power Through even though you get both bonuses. ---A Hurdle can take place only on a very specific event (a diving tackle). ---Hurdle is much more effective with higher jumping and higher points in the SA.

I have Spin and Power Thru fire a lot on that dot, so Hurdle could be affecting more than just the 4 replays I showed

Exactly. I break a shit ton of diving tackles, none of them show hurdle as the broken tackle SA, usually spin.

Hurdle probably works best for powerbacks with a high BT% already, just need to add some jumping into the equation

I think that's fact. I think it also works the same way with power thru and spin. power thru text fires before spin does so it seems spin never fires on a lot of power backs with both.

It's like there's a preferred order of abilities firing. for break tackle, I'd have to guess PT, SPIN, Hurdle. If you have the other 2, hurdle may not be worth the investment (noted above regarding 4 hurdles in 7 games)

the way TT puts it, it sounds like it would be worth the investment since you can boost your break tackle score higher when adding hurdle then you could just with spin. At least that's how i took what he wrote.

thats why i have always said SA should fire from weakest to strongest. as it is now LTS might break as many tackles as PT, but PT animation gets priority. Hurdle might fire all the time, but Spin anima gets the priority.

The next powerback I build is going to have all of the break tackle SAs.

I'm running something like this on my next powerback:

Carrying - 101.09
Strength - 93.09
Agility - 84.08
Speed - 71.26 (126.26)
Jumping - 71.26
Stamina - 51.26
Vision - 46.26
Confidence - 34.08

Quick Cut - 1
Head Fake - 2
First Step - 4
Juke - 2
Spin - 4 (10)
Cover Up - 5 (6)
Lower the Shoulder - 9 (10)
Stiff Arm - 8 (9)
Power Thru - 9 (10)
Hurdle - 8

Break Tackle 22.5%
Spin + 6
Not Fumble 12%

If that isn't enough jumping, I might need to switch 10 points of speed into jumping.

It can't work that way.

Less carrying imo.

Ehm, I see people misunderstanding how SAs work.

LTS can NEVER fire if power through fired because power through is checked first. It never has a chance to do anything unless power through fails to work. Meaning that

I was trying to get there, but on my phone I didn't have the patience.

Carrying helps break all tackles, it will help with hurdle, spin, normal broken tackles, LTS, and Power Thru. Carrying is the ticket to all of them.

Completely agree!! 100 carrying is a key element to success.
