Forum > Goal Line Blitz > can too much confidence on a QB increase the # of bad throws
- Increased power of confidence in avoiding bad passes
now that being said, should the dot with the most confidence in WL turn every hurry into a bad throw?

Thats a good question. I wonder, because confidence was my last attribute I leveled for my QB. His confidence is currently 74.2. He went from throwing an average of 31 bad throws a season to 192.67. He was a starter his entire career and his tactics sliders have stayed the same.
Passing style - Bullet (-75)
Passing priority - Open Man (-65)
Dump pass - Often
Throw away risk - Medium
Favor long pass - No
He's gone way down hill over the past 4 seasons, and he's still in plateau.

Points used in Strength, Throwing, Agility, etc make you throw better. If they want confidence to matter, it shouldn't just make hurries less likely to make a bad throw, it should make the throws better in general.

one would think that being further towards 100 Open Man on the slider would result in more bad throws. when you think about a qb throwing, route distance priority is more of a planned, timed throw. open man, if he's throwing to someone he just "found" a second ago, seems like there's less time for a QB to factor the receiver's velocity in where to throw the ball

every qb is on open man
