I would disagree with this, tbh. I started OCing again and have 2 teams going. I haven't touched their AIs since Game 1, and both are passing at over 60% clips.

It's not about game planning, it's about finding the routes that help well built receivers/TE's/HBs/FBs to get open, then not over analyzing your progressions.

What age group are you Oc'ing for?

Looking through his GM'd teams, the two he's listed as OC for are a WL team and a Nat Pro team.

It's somewhat easier to pass at that level than it is in, say, University and Reg. Minor. The passing game is pretty good at the highest level (Nat Pro and WL) and at the lowest level (Rookie and, to a point, Prep).

OTOH, Otega is right that there are things that DO work, even in those middle levels, if you look hard enough for them.

No question things do work.. I agree 100%

what I was saying is simply.. when I game plan I get solid results in passing.. when I don't.. not so much...

he replied that he didn't need to game plan and was still getting 60%.. that's why I asked what age lev..

Highest teams I OC right now are semi pro.. Just trying to make a comparison to see if it was age related.. nothing more
