Warrior General Games

Post season edition-

1. MUSTANG NATION "Touchy Fillies"- Last time somebody beat them in the play-offs was 4 seasons ago in the Rookies. That team was the Green Bay Wolverines who are now in competitive #2, so that means no elite team has ever beaten MNTF in the play-offs! They have beaten over the last 3 seasons: Hawaii, Darkness, NHG, ECT, ReDistured, Detroit Destroyers, Phiadelphia, RMO...now thats impressive! Could they make it 4 in a row? Maybe Motor City will get their first chance to stop MUSTANG!

2. ECT- 19-1 in your first season in elite#1 is very impressive, not sure what happened in the championship game though! I expect them to do well again with their ST's firing on all cylinders and alsi their very strong defence. If they can do well on offense then I think they will be favourites. They also won the tourney last season!!

3. Dark Nightmare- *evil laugh* This is by far the highest any of my teams have featured in my rankings!! But I think the merge has worked well, we got the players we wanted and the roster looks good. Hopefully we can get some easier games early on while our chemistry is low, however we will probably get MUSTANG and ECT in week 1 and 2. We will see how it works out!

4. Nerd Herd Gators- I'm trying to do these rankings without looking at Davis ones but i think this is the same so far, which is not good! but NHG are always up there and with 4ork joining and adding to their trash talkin abilities they should be better than ever before. They did well last season only losing to MNTF in the 3rd round. I think it's time for them to win a league trophy to add to their tourney trophies!

5. Red Dirt Wranglers- Now I've heard rumours that this team has made some good improvements since last season! RDW did well in their first season in elite#1 going 11-5 in a stacked conference. They came very close to beating a lot of the best teams and beat Darkness and MNTF in the regular season. With a few improvements to their roster this season they should be right up there with the best!

6. ReDisturbed- I always seem to rate ReDisturbed to low but I wanted my rankings to be a little different, sorry akinghorn! Very solid team, who are always in with a chance of winning. They've been very close to winning GOLD before, losing to MNTF in the finals 2 seasons ago and also losing in round 3 to NJN when they looked favourites to win it all. Both of those losses were to a late ST TD, if they could get a bit more luck in the play-offs this year then I think they're in with a shout at GOLD.

7. Motor City Cats- Now I look at their record last season, it was quite impressive, they only lost to ECT and LA all season. And they nearly beat LA in the 2nd round, only losing 21-24. They aren't far away from the top teams, despite a lot of modesty amongst the MCC agents, I believe they should be in the top10! They aren't fooling me!

8. Rocky Muntain Outlaws- This is a little low for a 14-2 team but they have never made it past the 2nd round in the play-offs and lost in the first round last season to Rome. But they did do very well in the regular season beating teams like ReDisturbed and NHG, they just don't seem to be able to replicate that form in the play-offs. maybe they will be able to this season but they are in a very tough conference!

9. Rome Regenades- They've brought in 8 new players this season and I think they will have a good season if they can get something going on offense. They did well to finish 2nd in the tourney and they lost to NHG in the 2nd round, but Davis has already admitted they will never beat NHG! They are in the slightly easier conference by the looks of things, which could mean they will be 3rd or 4th seed.

10. Manhattan Midnight Warriors- welcome back MCC. They went 19-1 last season and their only loss was by 1 point! Although that was a much weaker league they have a decent roster although their eff lvl is very low! it's hard to tell how they will do back in this league but I think they will do alright!

It's too bad that we fall into the same trap that all the human polls/rankings fall into. We rank teams basically the same with a LOT of focus on how teams did last season in the playoffs. I mean it is the lolregular season, but off-season additions are more important than we give credit sometimes. Of course, I don't have every teams roster memorized, so its hard to figure out exactly who was added and even then, you can't see the new and old builds to see how much was upgraded.

Nice write-up Terry. I really appreciate you and Davis doing these kind of things. As far as Mustang Nation, they always have my number. Maybe I just got lucky during the official GLB tournament. You know what they they, "Any given Sunday, anybody can win." Probably not the right wording, but, you all know what I mean. Thanks again Terry and Davis.

Great write up per usual!! Great to see all the familiar faces....We only have one new addition..so our roster is basically the same...need a G and will be at 55....Glad to see all our friends here and I m looking forward to another awesome season with all you guys!Cheers, Melissa

Glad to see Terry is putting his thoughts on the forums again. I am disappointed though, I thought Dark NIghtmare would top the pre-season poll at #1. NHG is a bit over-rated, as usual, but we will see if we can win a few games in the East. Well, at least we will win one game...Rome was moved too!

Interesting thing about MNTF is that in this 3 season run they have only had 1 or 2 playoff games without 2 TDS!

Very impressive, its almost like they lose a game or two every regular season just to make the rest of us think they are beatable that season and then they really start gameplanning in the playoffs!

I mean to comment on this earlier and then I forgot. If I remember correctly, I finished with the most points scored in all of Elite #1 last season. Sure I took advantage of the lower tier teams not being able to stop a rushing QB, but still. IF we can get something going offensively seems a bit harsh to me. I would argue that IF we can stop anyone, we'll have a good season. Amongst teams returning to Elite #1, I believe only Hawaii and Philly gave up more points per game than I did last season. That will be the key to Rome's success. Speaking of which, does anyone have a run stuffing DE?

LOL...interesting concept....I ve unfortunately have had some serious RL issues with myself and my son that have taken portions of my time from the game for over a RL year now...I did let basics ride through a few games as I was just too tired/busy with docs....I was able to give playoffs a bit more attention and then made the lucky selections for my tactics...but I d never throw a game to give perception we were beatable...I m much too competitive for that...
