As a Team Owner, I would love this option so that my dots know when one is available

If you have too many players to remember to upgrade their equipment, maybe you need to create and pay for less players or maybe you just deserve players that aren't fully upgraded
Why do we need the world to hold our hands all day every day?
complete waste of time, imho
where does it stop? Can I get a reminder to make sure that I tag rushing qbs? Can I get an alert every time I get a vet point? Every time I can cap an attribute?
Yes buying less players would really help the game and a super annoyance like an alert would make it unplayable. Just because something is not useful to a three player agent does not mean it would not help many others quite a bit.
I think anything to make managing large numbers of players easier or less time consuming is good for the game. Stuff like auto training the quick tactics editor have really helped me manage players. A few seasons back it would be impossible for me to keep up on the amount of players I have. Alerts just add to the recent web site improvements they have made.
If an alert is really that annoying maybe they could make a quick EQ editor on a separate tab or page. On that page only EQ upgrade alerts will show. If someone is that offended by alerts they could just never open the quick EQ editor page.

Yep this is a great business model. I want you to spend less on my product so I won't give you the tools to make it easier to have more of my product. I am certain I heard that one once in one of my business classes. Oh yeah, it was how to epically fail.
