It's not a ploy for more money in the sense that you think. It is more an attempt to appease higher paying customers at the expense of lower paying and non paying customers.

There was enough crying by a number of agents who were upset that non boosting teams were beating their minor league teams, that they convinced Bort/Catch that a change needed to be made. This was the result of multi-season forum spamming by a group of agents led by DonKeidic, crying that non boosting teams were ruining the game.

Of course a lot of these agents were the ones that were originally trying to find ways to gain advantages over other teams in the minors. They just got butt hurt when other teams took it a step farther and were willing to sacrifice the opportunity to make it to Pro/WL in order to win the lower leagues.

The Republican WAy is what I'm understanding. The rich got what they wanted at the expense of the less fortunate.

Wow, that is horrible. Anyway to petition for a pass? We have had the same team together since Season 13 and we probably can't deal without a punter for 23 days.

So I am gutting my team and retiring all my players, because we cannot keep all of dot's together, so we're starting fresh. So what day do we need to create new players to be at in the lowest tiered age league?

make an announcement in English...

is there a huge potential stadium/cash exploit here?

if I read this announcement http://goallineblitz.com/game/announcement.pl?id=456 correctly, a team could keep ALL its cash and stadium and still demote as long as they have just one guy on the roster who is eligible for whatever lower level they want to move down to/remain at... a team could play a whole season with 54 guys, sign one guy just before roster lock who is at the minimum age for the team, then a perpetually stay at the same level or sometimes even down one (except at the very bottom and top of the tier structure), in order to build up cash/stadium. A team could play three seasons at the Sophomore age level, for example (provided they keep recruiting new players) until they have a full stadium then move up to Prep School (or whatever is next ) to where they'd have a big advantage over teams that don't do this.

It used to be ANY demotion--even staying at the same level (except for teams that finished last in their conference) meant losing cash and stadium, right? Better stadium means more cash, and cash, through salary-based morale, promotions, etc still has a big role.

Worse, an owner or owners could have multiple teams doing this and jumping up and down the level tiers, moving players from one to another, restoring the CASH FARM system in some ways.

I disagree. It may not be their idea initially, but GLB saw the flex sign attached to the idea, and tripping all over themselves to implement it. It's not like this pattern has never happened before. Hint: Coaches

That announcement refers only to initial placement for age based leagues. After this season, any move downwards will be considered a demotion.

Does a persons current contract length have any bearing on league placement. So, say I have a 2 players over the age limit for the league I am requesting ( Regional Minors 141d - 200d) signed with contracts through season 20. That won't keep me from moving to the league I want will it? From my reading of the rules it won't but I just wanted to make sure.

Thank You

Another thing is if you have a lot of players like myself, it would be nice to see the age of your players on your home page instead of having to open each one.

send him a contract before he drops. I think so long as there is a contract offer already out the Dot can resign. I had two players go inactive once and they didn't come back until they were dropped from the roster. They resigned just a couple days later.

My question..

I have 5 players over the 80 day age limit for the Prep leagues.

Now, as soon as I can drop them, I am, they are on contracts ending at the end of this season.

So on day 41 will my team profile page update to show that were headed into the Prep League..

OR

Will I have to request for demotion and lose stadium/cash, while having no disqualifying players at the time.

And the rich keep carrying the "less fortunate" who have their eyes on the riches that they refuse to work for.

Blah blah, don't make this a money issue.

I work my ass off all day long, and I struggle with bills like all the poor people, but for two years I still payed to play this game and never should I get destroyed by players twice the age and in the same league.

That's like making a Rich Pee Wee team play a Poor Junior Varsity squad.

Parity has nothing to do with this, if they actually cared about parity then they would have it as an option to join age based leagues or have a non-boosting league where only players that have never been boosted are allowed to join...god that would be nice.
