Too confusing for me.

I'm actually going to vote against this, in my opinion there are few things that make a difference between good and bad builders, and this is one of them. Some people don't readily think about %'s and this will just make it allot easier for that kind of person to make players. Essentially it takes quite a bit of the skill of building good dots away from the game.

I would actually say that another very important reason is that without the automatic training it makes you review your players allot, you have to make sure you know what your doing, checking your players on pretty much a daily basis. If you add an automatic percentage field, you will massively lower the amount of time you spend on your players, basically meaning that you can run your dots on a weekly basis, with this lowering of player participation extremely counter-productive to the well being of the game.

This. All of it.

Voted against it.

I am in favor of this idea.

I agree, putting your dots on auto pilot just takes away from the game. Its very simple to adjust your own training to keep it around 95-99

I also think we should replace the drop-down box with a number entry field, which would allow it to go greater than 100. Set it only to allow a whole number 1-255. That will let you train up to a certain bonus token amount and make it easier to navigate on phones/PDAs.

I suggested this a little while ago, and everyone just called me lazy.

+10000 to this idea.

I know there is a work-around for this involving setting bonus tokens as the endpoint, but that doesn't account for potential breakthroughs.

When building new players, I like to set their training bars to end at a certain percentage so that I can ultimately get them to >98% so that a single light-train at a high-capped value will give them a +1. Unfortunately, this gets offset by breakthroughs along the way.

I think we should be able to have two training endpoints to use, have it stop when either or both of them are met (Boolean operator, baby!), and add training % as an endpoint. For instance, if I want to train my brand-new player's primary attribute to 32 and 85% training, or have it stop at 32 or when he gets to a certain bonus token level to unlock things, I'd like to be able to.

I also think we should replace the drop-down box with a number entry field, which would allow it to go greater than 100. Set it only to allow a whole number 1-255. That will let you train up to a certain bonus token amount and make it easier to navigate on phones/PDAs.

I further think (credit jimbcnu) that instead of the existing ≥ operator, we should be able to have the option not to train something beyond a certain endpoint, essentially replacing "has reached" with "would reach" or a less than operator. For example, if you did not want to train your player to exceed 99%, then it would not train him if his current percentage plus his expected training gain would exceed that number.

Automatically perform this training nightly until [Agility] ...........[has reached] [32] or greater
[on/off] ................... [and/or] ........................... until [Training %] ..[would reach] [99] or greater

Sound good?
My question is why stop there. Why not allow for any string of boolean operations. (x and y) or (B and C) or D. Then we can have people complain that you have to be a coder to do anything in the AI or the Training options (even if neither have anything to do with programming). Nah.. I say leave it nice and simple. That way when ppl screw it up they can just blame the simplest version of the training application as opposed to blaming their lack of understanding of boolean logic..

I think if you opt to auto train in the OP you should not be eligible for Breakthroughs. I think its too much of an advantage to have everything done automatically. People that train everyday on their own should have some benefit.

This should be a no brainer.

Mods please get it in the voting forum asap.

That is all.

You might want to read the actual voting list since this has been there for quite some time. Just saying.

So you're saying having no life outside of GLB isn't a benefit?

We're already gaming the system by using # of BTs to auto-train to the % we want. Might as well just set it specifically to "Train to 90% or above" and do it honest.

Or is gaming the system just a more fun way of reaching the same goal?
