Don't worry DTD, it is unlikely to happen. Teams that lose the championship game and still make it to Gold have always had 16-0 regular season records. And there are several of these around but even if it happens, then I will just wish Hartford good luck in Gold.

You can't control which conference you are in or who your competition is and Hartford did all they could do with things they can control. That's all you can ask for in your team and the rest is up to the someone else to decide.

Yea I agree, but give me a break. They really barley even game planned for one game the whole season while Who Dot and others were over there doing everything in their will to keep winning in the season and in the playoffs.

Here are the teams dropping out...

1. Tombstone
2. The Agency
3. Horde
4. New Orleans Pee Wee
5. TIA (Don't know if they will drop, but they will be full non boost and non CE so we will see)
6. Lone Star Mercenaries (I think I saw somewhere where they said they were done)
7. ??? Maybe Others

okay theres 4 teams announced out of gold, theres 1 team who will leave if another team gets into gold.
1) NOPW
2) TO
3) Agency
4) Bye-Week

The first 3 teams not champions, ordered by record are:
The Willie Wonkas 16-0-0
PAIN NATION MIDGETS 16-0-0
Godwana Raptors 16-0-0

now another gold team is going to be leaving if the PAIN NATION make it, so make it now 5 announced out teams...

the 2 remaining top teams by record are:
Maine Grenadiers 15-1-0
Hartford Shocks 15-1-0

Theres the 5 non-champion entrances to gold, Two Turtles one Cup missing out by a tie compared to a win by the shock/grenadiers.

Congratulations on making gold hartford, assuming GLB honors all demotions request, and that they go first to conference champions.

Actually I think you are correct and what even boosts hartford up even more is that I think the Wonkas are done also (Just what was posted by their coordinators) So that leaves another spot.

which means this will be the worst season in gold history, S7 may actually be better than gold next season, particularly considering the quality of the copper class coming up, as well as the number of gold teams that are staying that wont be boosting or buying ce.

Thats crazy, so here is gold next season

West

1. TO (Gone)
2. Bears (Normal)
3. MMD (Normal)
4. Horde (Gone)
5. RR (Going non boost and non custom I think)
6. Goats (Normal but losing a coordinator)
7. Lone Star (Gone)
8. Pigs (Normal)
9. ACS (Normal)
10. NOPW (Gone)
11. Gulls (Gone)
12. The Agency (Gone

So that leaves only 5 competitive teams in the West (Depending on the silver teams coming up may be more)

East

1. Short Bus (Will win it all)
2. FG (Normal)
3. TIA (Non boost and Non CE)
4. C3L (No changes)
5. Dharma (1 more season for them)
6. CrackerTown (Normal)
7. Deep Throw It (Normal)
8. Vikings (Normal)
9. DSBM (Normal)
10. Wam (Normal)
11.GA (Don't know whats going on here)
12. Hobbittown (Lost their HC so will probably stink again)

So that leaves 8 competitive teams in the West (Depending on other variables)

That means that there are 11 teams total that won't be competitive or will be CPU...

2 seasons ago (which was the worst season in PW gold, and may still be worse than what we'll see next year), the teams that wanted to be demoted were not allowed to do so.

So if they do that again, it'll only be the teams that have gone CPU that will get demoted and open a spot: NOPW, Agency.

I think ByeWeek automatically gets replaced by the team that they beat in the championship.

So that puts in the three 16-0 teams, and if there is another spot then it would likely go to Maine.

Also, LSMM is not taking the season off. GA is fielding a team, but I don't think Chit will spend much time with it (much like this season).

I am still fine with Hartford getting in if that's how it goes. Do I think Crib and Who Dot are better? You bet. Do I think there several other teams in other leagues better? I do!

But just as you can't control whether you end up in some cake walk Silver league or good old Silver 7, sometimes you just have to make the best of what is put before you. Hartford did that imo.

Yea, I agree with everything you said, but I would really just like there to be competitive teams in gold. Who Dot played probably over 40 games this past season trying to get better and learn all that we could. They played 16 and probably didn't game plan for 1. Crib and Who Dot and the Wildcats did everything they could with what they had to make it to gold. I just really wouldn't like to see Hartford in gold, it will just add to the uncompetitive teams in gold.
