Some positions have 6 good VAs. Others have 2. How balanced GLB is becoming, and how much forethought is currently being put in everything...

Bye-bye d-lines

-Run blocking rolls also a little easier to win now, with a little less likely to get pancaked. (improve o-line)
-Hard Count back to 5% (make vision more important for d-line)
- Bull Rusher .5% across the board (decrease key VA)
- Heavyweight 1% (decrease key VA)

and just for good measure LBs & CBs
- DvG 3% to 2%
-Catch was thinking we needed to up the effect of the tackling skill in the tackle roll, so I've done that for tackles from the front, while reducing strength value.

and interceptions (lol wat? does Bort realize how hard it is to make a CB get picks consistently)
-As requested, reduced pick radius on man coverage.

I think the pancakes & reverse pancakes were okay - they happen a lot, but that is the only statistic kept on a o-line. Why does it matter if they happen more than normal if the balance was there? Makes people happy to see their dots get stats.

The catching will kill passing below AA. Teams that win in the minors literally pass less than 5 times per game. I can tell by looking at the box score if a team attempted 20 passes in the minors they likely lost. Nerfing the d-line & nerfing passing will = 100% rushing in the minors.

It seems we are balancing this for the World League where people complained running was too hard and you had to pass 100%. This is seriously going to distort the minors.

why reduce strength on tackles from the front, strength is going to be hugely important tackling head on

Nothing to do with INT's - has to do with WR's setting "picks" on defenders when running routes.

I kind of feel this way. Reducing something that was a good mix with the rest of the VAs for something that should be used as a last resort VA. I know for sure I'll never use it if it only boosts my strength effect on break block at a max of 7.5%. You'd probably be best off just dumping it as a VA from the list if you're going to put that much of a hit on it. I'd rather see how hard of a hit the AE de-stacking is going to hurt before hurting Break Block boosts even more.

My DT had 145ish strength last season (80 agil), with Bull Rusher maxed (no Adv. Equip boosts to Break Block), and managed roughly 27 tackle attempts in 600 plays -- that's 9 tackle attempts every 200 plays. Pretty weak to begin with, imo.

--------------------------------------------

I think these moves are boosting an already okay rushing game to begin with. I saw no problem at all with the ground game last season (except for the pancake/reverse pancake happening way too often).

This. I'd really like to see less pancakes/revcakes and more legit drive blocks and people stunning and getting off blocks.

So is that all that is important is to make the sim for world league good and make it crap for the rest of GLB? World league is a small percentage but yet Bort caters to world league. If it makes such a imbalance in the sim he needs to segregate pro/WL from the rest so can find a happy medium at upper level and lower level.

Why does Bort just want to suck the passing game's dick so much?

I don't know why I create DT's anymore.

Aren't you guys worried about OVER correcting d vs o line interaction.

Seems like too much of a tilt toward O-line if all this happens.

You should maybe pick one or two of the proposed changes to implement, and then if that isn't enough, keeping adding 1 more each season, until you arrive at a point where line interaction is in line with Bort's vision.

Heavy swings don't land on target.
