No, I don't necessarily think so. That said, if a team had a passer and rusher, and randomly switched them from game to game, unless every team was on it's toes about watching the depth chart up to the last second, it would be nearly impossible to beat them.

I'm undecided about this stuff, but I think that the defense should get an additional % box--"Defend against QB rollout".

Obviously, setting your team to defend 100% against the pass doesn't mean you stop every passer, so setting 100% against QBs wouldn't be the end of rushing QBs.

Anyone with thoughts?

Take a look at the HBs in any league, you'll find about 15 that do better than that. See Rushing QBs are doing so good because it is harder to gameplan against them, especially in lower levels. However if you have the right builds and an effective gameplan you can win. I've seen it done multiple times. Thing is that you absolutely can not have shitty builds or a poor gameplan and expect to win. stopping the QB run game requires specific gameplanning, most teams in casual don't adjust their gameplans on a per game basis. They'd rather whine on the forums than do their homework.

Well the Steel Gators did their homework twice and both times lost although the second game we were fortunate to hold the QB to 10 ypc

this team did a pretty good job of slowing it down

I think my question has been a little bit misinterpreted here. Quite obviously I don't want to ban running QBs. What I'm saying is, should there be specific defense %'s put in place to allow you the option of focusing on the QB. I would prefer the diversity here, is what I'm saying.

Yes, and preferably by the championship game.

I think maybe it is the builds on defense?

or Maybe some people know how to build players and for a specific offensive system?

For example, here is my non-boosting pocket passing pee wee QB from season 8 (year of the islam; which our team did not exploit nor did we use a rushing QB as my guy was the only QB on the team).

Lead pee wee league in passing TDs, 16-0 record, and championship (on a team with ZERO boosters).

defense with higher vision and agility would be ideal imo

i have faced my fair sharing of running qb's in the casual leagues, and have hand no problem at all stopping them.

if you have good speed on your defensive front 7 and a half way decent understanding of defense it really is not that hard

Oakdale was able to stop the QB rollout against the fighting lions in the playoffs this season. I don't think it should be taken out, just need to account for it.
