It's a 1 on 1 skill, so think open field-type plays. Doesn't work so well in a crowd.

I'm going to try testing this build. I am creating a pure agility/head fake RB and will have him play for 1 season in the new leagues. In order to keep pace with all of the new guys who are boosting, I will be boosting him as well. I'll try to keep everyone updated on how he does.

I have a level 15 HB and will be boosting to 18. Here's his stats:

Strength: 26.34 Blocking: 12.8
Speed: 50.37 Tackling: 7
Agility: 36.36 Throwing: 12.8
Jumping: 12.8 Catching: 14.65
Stamina: 30.81 Carrying: 23.48
Vision: 31.01 Kicking: 7
Confidence: 16.49 Punting: 7

4-4-4-3-2
2-0-0-0-0

I will have 19 point with eqp. I'm thinking of pumping up speed, agility and vision by 5. Then using 4 points to add 1 to head fake and one to juke (4-5-4-4-2).

Thoughts?

you're gonna need a lot more agility to pull off head head and pump fake

OK, I planning on going to 55 speed, 41 agility, 36 vision and the two specials (4-5-4-4-2). Which do you think I should cut/reduce in favor of more agility?

How does the first power back ability rank in relation to carry skill? Am I better off putting 2 points there or just adding them to my low carry?

Is jumping any good for anything?

I have 13.6 jumping on my level 19 speed elusive rb, is that bad?

From what I'm getting is you want to have at least 100 in every skill, and 10 in every SA.

MY Level 17 needs a lot more speed, and carrying.

I screwed up and put points in the power back SA when I first starter.

Last season my Aver per carry was 5.1, this season 3.9. I am getting frustrated with the results, but I think speed is my biggest issue.

I would like some clarification on the first step SA. The description says "The First Step skill gives him a boost to acceleration when starting from a dead stop". Problem is a running back should never be at a complete dead stop. I figured it gives you an accerlation boost after you've been slowed down via a broken tackle, juke or anything that caused you to lose speed, would this be the correct assumption?

Well as the play starts in th back field your not moving so it would probabaly help you hit the hole as well with cuts and jukes you would start up faster again

It definitely helps you with just general acceleration. I was really frustrated with my back, because he'd make a cut or break a tackle, and he'd be really slow to get moving again, so I boosted up my "first step ability" to 5 and he just gets up and goes.

I know people are saying that it's wise to put the majority of skill points into "Quick cut" and "Head Fake", but I've been putting mine into "Quick Cut" and "First Step", and it seems to have been pretty effective for me.
