As a newbie to the league, having had a player here only since last season, I really appreciate this history lesson. Great write-up! Thanks!!

Also, I second the motion to sticky.

Well, we have the advantage of still being together so we can move up the rankings.

Biggest Rival - Hong Kong Hustlers - I could be wrong on this, but i'm pretty sure it's the Hustlers with the some of the threads i've read. Sorry this is one rivalry I don't know too much about, hopefully someone from the Flames can rewrite this part for me.

It all started in Single A #1. The first time we met HKH we were both new to the game, and both were unassuming quiet teams. HKH didn't do much their first season and neither did the Flames. It was an uneventful defensive struggle between 2 future SEA powerhouses in which the Flames prevailed 12-7. The following season the Flames started off pretty slowly at 1-2, then caught fire rattling off 7 consecutive wins before being matched up against none other than the brash talking Hong Kong Hustlers.

The Hustlers were looking very strong, with a potent 9-1 record. Their only loss at that point was to the Garut Fire Horses, and the Hustlers were running their mouths all over the forums about how the Flames didn't stand a chance. Zebo, koldfront, EPark, and LaSeeno couldn't shut their mouths about what they were going to do to us, so Pimp and myself responded with some forum trash talk. The Flames made short work of the Hustlers with a dominating defensive performance and a 16-3 victory with longtime standout CB Pimp leading the way defensively.

The momentum from this win carried the Flames all the way to the Conference championship game without losing again until the Hong Kong Highlanders defeated us and thwarted our bid for a AAA promotion.

Season 3, the 6-3 Singapore Flames were set again to face their trash talking rivals in a battle for SEA supremacy and a promotion to AAA. The 5-4 Hustlers came in cocky once again, and were demolished by a superior Singapore team 30-17. At this point, the Hustlers were openly admitting we were the better run franchise on the forums after much trash talking between the two organizations and Pimp and myself were rubbing salt in the wounds whenever possible. Of course we had just gotten "lucky" since we were "underleveled" but they would point out colins acumen when it came to running the teams business side as we had a full stadium before anyone else and always were loaded with cash.

Season 4, the 11-3 Flames were about to face off against the 12-2 Hustlers. Both teams looked strong and we felt the conference championship was going to run through one of us. The Hustlers were once again spouting off at the mouth as the Flames came to town, only this time things turned out different. Instead of handing them their annual ass whooping the Hustlers offense was unstoppable. They manhandled Singapore 45-31 with Brent Sanders scoring 2 touchdowns and that momentum carried them straight to the League Championship. Singapore was chomping at the bit for a playoff rematch, but it was not to be as we lost in the first round when the biggest douche on GLB (meow meow) singlehandedly destroyed our offense with 11 tackles and 6 sacks.

Seasons 5 and 6 there was a break in the rivalry. As Singapore was dominating AA, then AAA on our way to 1 league title and 2 conference championships, the Hustlers ran straight through AAA in season 5 and were now in the Pros.

Season 7, the rivalry resumes. The Flames are fresh in the Pro leagues now and didn't know what to expect. The Hustlers had a season under their belt, and were talking trash as usual. Zebo made a point to say how "we could never beat them again" or something to that effect before the game. The Flames had a miserable season, and were only 2-7 with their arch rivals on the way. Hong Kong was a respectable 5-4 and although the Flames battled valiantly morale issues and inexperience were their undoing with the Hustlers prevailing 23-22.

Season 8, the turning point. The massive egos on the Hustlers like Fuzzball and koldfront caused issues with the teams talented defensive coordinator, teamriots. The Hustlers agreed to trade teamriots players to the Flames, insisting he would destroy us internally because he was such a headache. The Flames never had so much as one in team squabble in our existence, and were sure we could assimilate riots into our organization as our DC had just retired. Feeling confident, I made the "HKH sucks thread" which was wildly popular on the forum congratulating them on their loss before the game happened. The 1-2 Flames went on to demolish the 2-1 Hustlers 37-0 holding them under 100 yards of offense while racking up over 500.

Season 9

The 6-3 Flames were gearing up to play the 3-6 Hustlers. As a precursor to the game, I created the infamous "Dear Hustlers" thread letting them know the ass kicking they were about to receive. The Flames went on to crush the Hustlers 58-13 sending them into a tailspin from which they would never recover.

Season 10

The Hustlers and Highlander merged teams which was figured out by yours truly calling themselves "Hong Kong Heroes". The Flames easily dispatched the squad and rubbed it in mercilessly. The 48-6 asswhooping was the end of any illusion the long time Hustler/Highlander players had of competing again. After being continuously mocked and ridiculed by me, the team gutted naming themselves after yours truly. After 10 brutal years of rivalry, the tally stood at 6-2 in favor of the Flames with the Flames outscoring them 254-114.

Between these 2 storied franchises there were 5 conference championships, and 4 league Championships including one SuperWok. I will never hate another team as much as I hated these loudmouthed cocksuckers, and to not only dominate them so thoroughly but having them name themselves after me when they gutted was priceless. Now members of the Flames actually own the original Hustler franchise and they are being used as a slow build farm team for the Moose Jaw Rough Riders owned by Flames GM Dimmy Finster.
