The point is, there is no better method to weed out teams. Eventually, this method will work out well. Let's say you're in a league with three really good teams. You either focus on beating them in the championship or you wait a couple of seasons for the teams better than your own to be promoted. The championship in silver has bigger stakes now.

What other choice to they have? They either promote the championship trophy teams or they use some obscure game simulation method that guesses which teams are better.

How would you do it?

I don't think any BAD teams will make it into Gold. Sure league 5 & 6 are a little weak but look at it this way for those of you in league 7. If you can't win the league there, what the hell makes you think you can win a playoff game in Gold?? Especially next season when every playoff team is good. Some teams are going to have to wait it out until they have a diluted league or else just get better. When whoever it is makes the leagues, they largely can't know what teams in silver are going to break out or be deserving of Gold status, so invariably there are going to be teams left out each season in tougher leagues. That's just the way it is. The alternative would be some sort of double or triple elimination silver tournament and that isn't fair either, not to mention the strain it would put on gameplanning for teams that are already in tough conferences and other tournaments.

peewee gold will eventually be the only league I make players for. i do wish the day 31 exploit would be shut. day 0 players only would make more teams competitive since by the time new teams get handed out, most of the day 31s have already been signed.

Going out on a limb here, but perhaps b/c multiple teams in S7 have not only already defeated Gold playoff teams this season, but Gold playoff teams who will have a first-round home game.

I'm done complaining, and I'm sorry I ever did in the first place. I'll just do what I can do to win the league from this point out; and hopefully I'll see you boys next year.

How many of them have won 4 in a row against top Gold teams? That is what it will take. No doubt doable by multiple teams in silver, but it will be much harder than any silver league is.

Also, going out on a limb here but, Atlanta, Short Bus, He Hate Me, DoRD have a combined 2 losses to top silver teams, or to any teams outside of Gold.

Too much emphasis on what a team did last season, does this season for next......................the deal with Pee Wee, even the GOOD teams may not be as good a year later, and a marginal team may ramp it up the next season.
So, the best teams in Pee Wee each season, are not in Gold, so to speak. But, the teams that are consistently the best will end up in Gold. The best teams, because of the nature of Pee Wee could be anywhere.
How you did last season, or even sometimes how you do in Scrimmages does not define a team.
Getting a Gold trophy DOES however prove that u were the best in your league that season.
This would be the only REAL viable criteria to move a team up.
blah blah blah.
The best team in Pee Wee Gold will be the team that wins the Gold trophy, and will be the only team to legitimately claim to be the best.
Teams that lose (for whatever reason) in Silver, or Copper do NOT deserve to be promoted. Enough about which league is tougher............
