whether it be as a blocking/possession WR or TE.

mainly for blocking runs and catching short passes.

how long of a career can that last?

so you started out with strength and blocking first then speed/agility, etc...?

you would never do that. You'd miss out on auto-level ups.

I am building a receiver for this right now. 60 speed, then 60 agility. These are the minimums I feel I will need to be even marginally successful at anything.

68/68 for any position that handles the ball.

I would be more interested in a pure blocking WR build. The question would be is it worth it? Or is it better to just use a TE or OT for this?

However if one was to try a pure blocking WR, would you do str/blk first as DJ suggested or still do spd/agility first.

heres my two cents

if its a pure blocking wr you want than you would take strength/blocking the highest and first, probly both to 3rd maybe 4th cap if you are feeling dangerous. remember its always better to do one thing really well than try to be balanced and do everything ok. you would basically be building him like an OT or blocking TE i assume, only you wouldnt put one of there because they would be less effective in that slot. if bort hadnt made it like that than everyone would be putting like OTs in TE slots and TEs in WR slots etc etc and they would be losing out on alot of money. as for the build id jsut go strength then blocking then agility and speed

jsut my thoughts

I would disagree if its a long term plan on a blocking WR. I say take agility to 4th cap followed by Speed to the 3rd or 4th before you began capping strength and blocking to their 3rd caps. You get better level gains from speed and agility so they would help you get to the block quick while agility helps hold a block combined with blocking. Equipment could be split between agility and Blocking if you wanna be a prick to another team since your guy should hold blocks long while pancaking Weak CB's since Strength would be high without equipment. If you had a team that was building a power house running game not thinking of throwing much at all Outside Runs would be tough to stop with WR's like the build I mentioned. You'd work on Vision as well after the 4 mentioned since you need that to find guys to block in open space.

You still want good speed and agility because you're going to need to catch DBs and then hold the block.

I think a blocking/possession WR/TE would have to start out capping STR/blocking first IMO.

your main job is always going to be blocking first, and catching a short pass=secondary.

obviously at some point he is going to need some amount of speed/agility.. but I think blocking would have to be the focus starting out.

I'm making one now.

Agility and speed are both 73.86 natural at 26.

I'm training strength/carrying now, and working on capping carrying.
Then I will switch to strength/blocking.
Cap strength
continue with strength/blocking
2nd cap strength
switch to vision/catching
3rd cap strength
2nd cap blocking
then work on vision/catching

Right now all equipment is in strength, but I will probably move most to agility/speed when I get strength 3rd capped and only leave custom in strength

At level 56 something like
75 strength
62 blocking
92 speed
92 agility
52 carrying

I haven't done the math on vision/catching/confidence/stamina
