Tweetys' Nomination will follow shortly.

This is the GM of the Colonels and we were just informed of this Pro Bowl voting. Great idea but looking at the list above and the fact there is not a single Colonel on it makes me wonder. I definately think some of our guys are worthy of consideration. I also think if you are going to name it "Pro Bowl" then you would have 2 at every position with possible total team of 52 players. You would have a starter based on the most votes cast and a back up. If you really wanted to be cute you would make it 56 players and after taking the top 52 allow the remaining 4 slots to be filled with the top vote getters regardless of position as alternates. You have your 11 offense, 11 defense, K, P, KR, PR x starter and backup =52.

As for who should vote, it should be the team owners only, in my opinion. Too big a task to allow the masses do it.

Who should be nominated? Well, to avoid upsetting team members how about how I approached it on our teams forum. Again, this was before I saw this post and our PR guy made it out like everyone would be voting. But one criteria you could use is the guy being nominated must be in the top 5 for his position in some catogory within the conference player standing to qualify. This means the top 5 kickers in %, PTS, etc. If your guy is statistically in the top five then he should be worthy consideration. I did this in posting on our forum whom I thought was worthy of consideration and I came up with 10 players with one player qualifying for two catogories.

Make it where the owners can not vote for anyone on their individual team, submit to the person that wants the task and post the results. If you have a tie at any position, you have the 4 alternate spots you can use and if it is to decide who is the starter verses back up, use some predetermined method to decide each position. Defensive, tie breaker is total number of tackles. If its offensive, total # of yards, pancakes. If its Kickers, total points scored or highest punt average. There shouldn't be a need for more than something like that on tie breakers. That's my vote.

I like how this guy presented his teammates as it would be easy to look at these figures to help determine a guys merit. But I know our owner would take into account how much we might have had to game plan against someone on a particular team to help him decide his final vote. Vote for one guy per position. So you would want to list ROLB verse LOLB and so on.

If you guys haven't nominated your players then there wouldn't be anyone from the Colonels on the "list" so far...that's kind of the idea, you nominate your guys and they are added to the list.

Well, there is still one game left tomorrow and we will submit to our owner to decide whom should be nominated. Then its up to whomever to decide as there really isn't going to be any reward like a trip to Hawaii or anything, just league recognition perhaps. We'd rather win it on the field anyway but we'll pass it on to our owner to decide what he wants to do.

I think you're missing the point dude, you are supposed to nominate your own players. You're acting like the Colonels got snubbed. The only people that have snubbed them is yourselves...

The Tweetys are terrible...you must be delusional to think they'll get anyone into the Pro Bowl

i believe chitown is talking about the ORIGINAL LIST. The one that the person who started this topic posted. IN that case, no one from the colonels in on there. That's all he's saying, obviously if we haven't posted ours no one is nominated yet.
