NFL starts its voting pretty far in advance as well, so I don't necessarily see a problem with it. At worst, it gets the idea in people's heads for down the road so they keep it in mind when they watch games.

I like the idea but my suggestion would be either only owners vote or that players should not be allowed to vote for players on their own team.

A few quick comments/suggestions:

* Move the final day of voting/tallying from 5/26 to 5/28 since the final regular season games are on 5/27.

* Since all the other positions are electing double the typical number of starters to the team, shouldn't K, P, KR/PR, DE, and DT do so as well?

I think it should just be the owners that vote.

Well, to be honest, I did vote for a few my own players, but only the people that I feel honestly earned it.
