Still a solid suggestion. More thoughts on it?

I like this idea. However, what if you start out with only 2 Advanced EQ slots, then are able to open up more as you reach certain levels. Maybe at level 20 you can get a 3rd slot and level 35 or 40 get a 4th. Just a thought. This sounds like a great idea...now if only I could ever find any Advanced EQ worth buying.

At the 8,16,24... levels you get more spots to add AEQ.
Great idea overall.

This really is an excellent idea. The only flaw I see is players demanding more money to pay for these additional slots.

Though, it just occurred to me that you could tie endorsements and fame into this idea. Instead of making these adv. eqpt. spots cost the player money, why not making them something they could only open up through fame? If they signed an endorsement deal they would open specific adv equipt. and upgrades that would only available once they achieved a certain level of fame. If you wanted to take it even further, the player could have some input, or choice in the way the equipt was built, like a signature model that would only be available at very high levels. Higher levels of fame would open up more options, possibly even VA's?

On your last paragraph of suggestions, all those would be excellent RPG-type elements to incorporate even further into the basic OP idea.

I'm against the idea of adding new AEQ or EQ slots in general to the game. This is a football sim, not a "I'm going to acquire all the leet gear I can so I can pwn noobs" game. I was honestly surprised to find out that eq gave you bonuses at all when I first started.
I understand if players who don't own or GM teams need something to do at higher levels...but a shopping spree for wristbands and earrings? Really?
EDIT: And if we are going for more parity between builds...maybe we should let vet abilities settle for a bit? Maybe some need some nerfing or boosting? Any ways to vastly personalize your character should be done through SP and training (or vet exp I guess)...if you want more differentiation than work within those systems.

Well, the OP brings up a good point, as far as veterans are concerned anyways, who wants to give up a piece of +4 or +5 basic equip for a piece of (un-upgraded- or not max upgraded ) advanced equipment?? I would actually suggest something different(however this post actually fired those neurons in my brain to create this idea , so ty GG) , I will be posting shortly in suggestions forum my new idea-lightbulb-over-head-idea...lol.

Nobody says you have to wear something right after you buy it.
My regular equipment is +6 attribute. I found a piece of advanced equipment that started as +3 attribute/+1 SA. I waiting until I could upgrade it twice (+5 attribute/+2 SA) to wear it.

Evidently not if you have to shamefully plug it into a different suggestion that is in the same forum as yours
