To sum up the idea in brief words...

Yep thats the idea. More slots keep getting added to your "EQT" page. Making both basic and adv eqt something you compile thru your career, not replacing each other.
The full idea is here...

The RPG element in EQT/AdvEQT is kinda lacking. It's forcing you to make a choice across only 4 slots. Not just for vet players which makes AdvEQT difficult to indulge in. But the very concept should be expansive, not restrictive---the current set-up is making either EQT or AdvEQT redundant in the game.
Suggestions...
1. Re-do the Equipment page so that there are more EQT slots overall that can be filled. Wont make either EQT or AdvEQT redundant because you will want to fill up your basic EQT slots and add-on as many other bits of equipment.
2. So the EQT slots could be broken up into two: Basic EQT, and AdvEQT. All the AdvEQT names like Superior Gloves etc would need to be changed to NEW items of equipment---like socks, elbow braces, wristbands, mouthguards, jock-straps, etc. So that it will allow you to accrue AdvEQT that wont take up an existing slot under "head", "hands", "feet", "body".
3. Alternatively, the whole AdvEQT name/idea is altered from being about equipment to just being "special skills" and therefore have an abundance of slots available that you could continually add things to...like a real RPG. So for example, you would have your four main EQT slots as normal, but then you have what you could possibly call Training Room or something. So when you shop and buy something, it would be a "skill" or "feature" not a piece of EQT. And would be equipable in the Training Room section. Which is either a new tab at the top, or just an extended section underneath the current EQT items.
Therefore...
The idea is that a vet player would be interested in buying new items as they wont be replacing old slots, and would make the whole experience of training, earning tokens, and shopping for things more worthwhile. While for new players, they wouldnt forego upgrading base EQT in preference for AdvEQT or vice versa...instead, they would like the vets be able to load up on both.
So ultimately a player's shopping life could yield him something like this....
WR:-
+4 Speed (head), +4 Agility (hands), +4 Jumping (feet), +4 Vision (body), +6 Speed Custom with +1 Speedster upgrade.
Then...he could have accrued things thru his shopping that would fill up new slots:-
+1 Agility/2% Break Tackle, 3% Break Tackle, +2 confidence/5% fake chance, 3% catch chance, +1 Dive 4 Yards SA, etc etc.
All this would further help differentiate builds as agents would have a freedom here to collect things and enhance his player, while making the whole concept behind training and shopping more worthwhile as items wont be replacing other items in limited slots.
Also, for THIS suggestion/idea, you wouldnt need 8 bonus tokens + 8 levels of development for each upgrade. You could re-tweak this to make it more reasonable while not too easy. So maybe 4 tokens + 4 Levels. Or you could make it 8 BTs only, no level requirments. The reasoning behind the 8 BTs and 8 levels is due to an attitude that AdvEQT would REPLACE EQT items/slots. So with this idea being not about replacing those slots/items, then you can also remedy that whole BT and levels upgrade thing that many have complained about as well.
Thoughts??
