No one is actually true slow building. Since I have my own team I'm slow building a bunch of players who will never play a single game for ages so that they can train at least 10 times at each level. And since I'm paying their salary they'll only train on intense until level 10.

Again, yeah, when you compare your level 10 to other level 10 characters, he will be a beast. But if you compare him to characters created ON THE SAME DATE as him he will be extraordinarily weak. There's a pretty big trade off there.

Yeah I know, but I'm willing to accept that trade off since I have quite a few other players to focus on until my slow builds are good.

but he may be weak for a time being, once that who is ahead a few lvls hits 29, he will only get 100xp a game where the slow builder will make up quite a few lvls on him

I am too, as I am "super slow" building several players right now, so I'm with you. I just think there are a lot of people advocating slow building that don't completely understand the trade-offs.

+1

I also see it an advantage to playing this game with more players since you don't have to pump extra FP into them by boosting.

I guess I'm just cheap.

My slow players are just extras.

Okay, that's what I've always thought of as "slow building", and that's what I've been doing. I'll have to refer to myself as a "pro-builder" from now on

A "Pro-Build" team. They are beating teams that are 6-8 average levels greater than themselves. They still are not well rounded players. They are centers with 80+str and 70+blk without equipment. They are WRs with 70+spd and 60+agi without equipment. By level 25 they will be well rounded and dominating. We will see the virtues of a true "Pro" building team once they boost before the playoffs.

Next season there are another 5+ "pro" building teams that will be level 19+. The players will be even better than these guys as they trained on intense every game since their 1st day created.

It takes patience but you will have a dominant team for 10+ seasons.

example:

Yeah we might only have 25 energy a player now, but it resets at the beginning of next season.
