We are super thin at linebacker and I was thinking of playing my fs as a backup middle linebacker any thoughts on this?

I would put a SS over a FS. Maybe even a DE.

could work if he has good vision and speed

high speed/vision DEs and high strength SSs are better bets, unless your FS has higher strength than your SS.

He'd better be pretty big, that's all I'm saying.

MLB's need strength don't they? My FS is eventually going to be a hard hitter and he still doesn't have very high strength yet.

Yeah I think a FS would be too weak and not have a good enough tackling rating to play MLB.

we actually put my lvl 15 fs (pitty party) at rolb for first 5 games of season ,set to wrap up tackle (we were very thin at lb ) he worked out very well.

My SS backs up at MLB...plenty of vision, speed, agility help.

I have started a SS at ROLB for a 1 1/2 seasons. The way rushing works in GLB, it just makes more sense.

I would say you'd rather have a LB at MLB and a SS at OLB, due to D General...
