It makes sense that agility should include acceleration. As per the definition of agility: the power of moving quickly and easily; nimbleness.

Sounds interesting, so what do you think CB's will -have- to do about it? Even out their Agility to Speed or have more agility than speed?

I think im gonna have to try gettin a bit more agility than speed for my PR KR return CB (who will only play KR PR XD)

Agility is, by definition, the ability to change direction quickly.

Acceleration is. by definition, a change in velocity.

Direction is a variable in determining velocity.

Therefore, acceleration is a function of agility.

Agility does affect your acceleration, but the problem is it doesn't affect it enough. That is what is being changed.

I still think for many positions you want top-end speed...speed is speed, and once you are at top speed, a guy with less speed can't catch you (unless they have a really good angle and close speed).

I don't think you'll need more agility than speed, though you could try it. Personally, I'd double soft cap agility and still put my equipment and double soft cap speed for WR's, CB's, elusive HB's, and all the other positions where speed kills.

As has been said, the important of agility for accelleration is what is changing, so you'll just want more agility to make best use of your speed.

Thank you doozer. I was worried I would have to correct these fools. I could see an argument that for a person, turning sharply is a different skill than accelerating in a straight line. But there's no reason to assume speed covers this, either. And we don't really need 30 different stats to express every little ability. I think agility should play a bigger role in player speed, so it's nice to see them adding that.

You can be fast, but not agile.

If you're very agile and fast, generally you will accelerate much faster than someone who's not very agile.

Luckily on my CB and LB's, I've kept agility on par with his speed. Will be interesting to see how it pays off.

Irrespective of the fact that it's already proven that acceleration is a function of agility, Do you really want to add another physical attribute that requires putting SP into?

I know how they could have overlooked something before it went into Beta.

IT'S BETA. Have you ever beta tested a damn game before?
