poll results released before our loss. Was unexpected to me as well (the loss and the first place), as you can see in another post I had us ranked 5th in my vote. Will see in next 5 games if we belong on top or down the basement.

Equal parts nervous and excited to see how the cross conference games coming up. Hoping 1B can surprise some folks, but we'll see soon enough. I'm drugged up from back surgery, so I'm going to waste time making picks for week 6, to keep myself away from editing AIs while I'm loopy.

Week 6 preview, Pro 1: Start of interconference sees every Alpha team at home, leading to more disparaging of 1B most likely.

SWAT vs Athens. #1 vs #1. Marquis matchup of the week. Athens and SWAT are almost dead even on paper, (1460 vs 1455) but the odds are stacked against Athens here. Let's see what Ken + ZZ can come up with, hoping they keep it close and 1B doesn't get embarrassed here. Pick - SWAT.

TSW vs Dayton. #5 vs #3. Dayton getting the W is the most popular pick in League Survivor this week, but I think this one is intriguing to see how their D handles the swarm of freaky speedsters coming at them. RC has the lone pick of the upset here in LSurv, and who am I to disagree with RC. Pick - TSW.

Florida vs Death Valley. #3 vs #4. Going to give it the old college try, but my lifetime record of like 0-13 vs RC probably doesn't get snapped here, no matter how good ZZ's D is lol. Pick - Florida.

Comets vs Goats. #2 vs #5. No shade thrown at GroupOh / PDog, but this is a mountain too tall to climb. Pick - Comets.

Gamblers vs Marauders. #6 vs #2. Not taking this matchup lightly - Houston has proven to have some dangerous pass game weapons, piling up yardage near the top teams in the league. Negative game scripts and Ints have been their undoing. Pick - Marauders.

Grove vs Slackers. #4 vs #6. Slackers are dead last in every team stat category, other than passing (5th). Grove has 1B's number one pass D, coached by ZZ. Pick - Grove.


Not happy about my predictions looking at them now, that 1B limps away with a 1-5 record after the first week of cross conference play ... hopefully 1B steps up and proves me wrong.

Agreed with all of your predictions. If could be an upset will be from Dayton but not likely.

Typo on Grove vs Austin ... Grove has 1A's top pass D, even more impressive considering.

Will Austin try to ground and pound against them? IDK, their twin combo backs haven't exactly broken a ton of tackles so far.
