Has anyone noticed how outdated the D-Play creator is with all of the restrictions on player movement and alignment, I think we can release the beast now that the offense can create their own plays. Let's go Borticus!

That would be the most fun shit ever. Make it happen!

At minimum let us blitz LBs from unlocked positioning like DBs

Things I'd like to see;

The ability for wider disbursement on D-line and LB's.

A formation that matches up better with Trips. (For that matter, why do we ONLY have trips LEFT? Like... there's 2 damn sides to the field!) Yes... I know you can select "man w/move" but I'd much rather SEE all 3 of my CB's actually matched UP with their counterparts.

A little more personal placement of D-line players. Not asking to be able to put DE's on the sidelines (to stop outside runs) but I would like to be able to move them more than I can now.

What I would NOT want to see;

The ability to put LB's anywhere you want. I could see DC's putting all 3 LB's, stacked, on one side and blitzing them all causing an overload. Nope. Left needs to stay left... middle stay middle... and right stay right. But I would like to be able to move them more than they're allowed right now. I mean... c'mon. Ya got 'em stuck in tiny boxes.

As an OC you can manipulate the defense to put that look on the field and pitch it in the other direction, this is a non problem.

Agreed on this one, I think if you just unlocked CB4/CB5 the same way CB2 is unlocked you'd solve most problems with the visual aspect of creating coverages.

Only issue would be that you then give huge buffs to blitz CB schemes as you would no longer have to commit to the CB2 slot for your blitzer to be able to blitz from both sides of the field. As a blitz CB fanboy, I'd obviously be down for the change

Yea, they need to unlock everyone not on the D-Line to be allowed to line up anywhere. I challenge DC's to do stupid stuff, the Offense is still in control, anyone whos toyed with both creators knows this to be true.

As an OC that remembers what the Kolb Destroyers did with an unrestricted DAi - I say no...

Apples to Oranges. But I would settle for a less restricted D-Play Creator.

Fair enough. I honestly have never seen or used, nor want to, DAi, I see the effect... My biggest challenge from the O side is when a DC changes things up

Yeah as someone who works on both sides of the ball, and remembers the blocking code breaking completely ... slightly widening the boxes, I can see. Allowing LBs to be placed anywhere like CBs? Please, dear god no.

The game already has a huge running tilt, let's not turn it into a sim of pre-1906 football, eh? We're a bunch of old farts, but not THAT old.

I see this and I raise you for allowing deeper safety zones with CB's and Safeties being able to be placed anywhere and be allowed to be given ANY zone assignment anywhere on the field. If we must continue to throttle blitzing, let's at least open up the coverage and placement to allow more effective defensive schemes.
