I can dig it even if it's not my way. Will say this though... if the reason was the long slow slough to Plateau, you might give it a go with the new system and see. If done (1 and done seasons) for other reasons... and there are many legit ones... then I get it. That's the thing about this game. Many ways to enjoy it. Good luck, mate... either road ya walk.
