maybe - either way, the 2 throws you linked were overthrows, whether they qualify for "bad throws" or not

Odd route for the FB?

I've actually seen that happen a number of times with a RB in the flat. Occasionally when the flat is that wide open they sit in the space. The only thing here he wasn't open in the end. Perhaps it was a missed vision check, or maybe the LB just made a great play, or it could have just been bad luck. Bad luck definitely happens in football and even more often in GLB sometimes.

This one i've noticed is a possible result of the "!" icon. It seems like the QB wants to get rid of the ball quickly because of the pressure (although a lot of times when the "!" icon fires, there really isn't any pressure) so the QB will release the ball early and try to 'time up' those throws, and sometimes leads the receiver too far. I see it happen a lot more on crossing routes but that could just be due to the amount of crossing routes everyone calls.

I believe this was a fired "!" that didn't show up on screen, but still occurred. The strongside CB is coming, eventually (though extremely slow to realize he should be blitzing) and also, the QBs often seem to confuse DEs in the flat zone for blitzing players, which can be an annoyance. So, the QB thought he had to throw immediately and tried to drop it in there and just led him a half yard too far. The frustrating thing is that there really was not pressure. We deal with this a lot with a dual threat QB who is often getting blitzed, and her high agility helps a lot when it comes to completing passes under pressure- except for the times when she misses so badly you can hardly tell who she's throwing to. It can be a crapshoot sometimes and usually if you get that twice in a game at least one of the times you will hit that TD pass. Either you got unlucky, or perhaps if the player has low agility he is penalized more on those pressure throws. It really does seem to calculate as a pressure throw, even though to the eye, there's not much pressure and the QB definitely seems to have more time than that. Like I said, its annoying and frustrating- but it actually is not that uncommon.

On this play, there is no pressure at all. He just missed the throw by inches. It wasn't a 'bad throw', he just missed by an inch. I'm sure the vast majority of the time he hits that easily but even with 170 throwing and 25.5% PQ no QB is ever going to be 100% accurate every single play. That must have just been his one miss out of 100 and it came at the wrong time. Actually, maybe it came out ok because you had that game in hand it seems- it would be much more tragic if that happens in a game you lose by a TD or less. Hopefully he got his misses out of the way when it didn't matter.

I've noticed for the most part, "bad pass" seems to refer to the Pass Quality and not accuracy. If its a wobbler or a duck, it comes out wrong or it hangs up there for a defense, or is just straight into the turf, that is considered a "bad pass" more than accuracy is concerned. Occasionally I see a pass that seems to have good 'pass quality' but no accuracy get flagged as a "bad pass" but it has to miss real bad. Otherwise, its not a bad pass, its just incomplete.

GG FFG.....We didnt get much of a chance to get the OAI running and adjusting how I fore-saw it Little surprised by that but thats down to good D and and a good in depth DAI.

Did you know that was a real thing? I had no clue! That is the most awesome thing ever and I need one. We have great lakes here and that's pretty much the sea.... now I'm thinking the Sea Wolves either need to switch to that or maybe we will lol
