Rankings and such after week 4 (Late this week)
Sorry guys. Had a busy couple of days. Hope to see the other awesome write up from rookie season show up again soon. Let's get right to it.
1. B.C. Lions 4-0: The level advantage early on has paved the way to great morale and the club used that advantage to beat up on the Maori 52 to 21. Despite that advantage, the Maori's tricky offense had many outstanding moments in the defeat and payback will be a real bitch later on.
2. Minnesota Reapers 4-0: Last year the Reapers kind of hung around in the background until catching fire in the playoffs but after this week's 31 to 6 beatdown of the Grey Bandits, it was the Reapers stealing the swagger from the Bandits and not the other way around. This team is outstanding.
3. WL Academy 3-1: Three straight losses after sneaking past the Smexies keeps them in the 3rd position for now. No holes on this squad and will only get stronger as the season goes on. It took a 4th quarter long run from RB stud Tyrone Biggums though to secure the win against the angry Paris side.
4. Lincoln Navigators 3-1: The Navigators didn't do anything fancy against the game but overmatched Creepers squad, rolling to a solid 35 to 3 victory without effort. Lincoln won while the others around them in the standings lost so they get to jump up into the top four. World League caliber smarts in this squad means when they care, you are in trouble. Please don't care.
5. Christchurch 3-1: While on paper the 52 to 21 smackdown by the Lions looks like a terrible performance, in reality, the Maori's tricky, confusing offense did incredibly well with the level disadvantage they had. While the owner likes to play down his squad's ablity, this just in... THEY ARE GOOD!
6. Anthropomorphic Cuisine 2-2: After three brutally tough games to start the season, the Cuisine got to take a breath this week, destroying the Knights 62 to 28. Having beat the Bandits earlier this season, the Cuisine get the coveted top-6 ranking. Against the Knights, the Cuisine put up 479 rushing yards. That will get it done.
7. Grey Bandits 2-2: The Bandits were knocked down a couple of pegs this week against a strong Reapers squad. For the second time this season they scored 10 or fewer points in a game and their offense appears to be struggling in the tougher games so far. Still.. this defense is sick and without question this is a champion-caliber team when everything is clicking. 14 of 37 passing for 87 yards won't get it done very often though as well as 2 punt returns for touchdowns.
8. Paris Smexies 1-3: Smexies are frustrated after narrowly losing a heartbreaker to the Academy. What takes some of the sting out however is the massive beatdown over HHWC in the tourney to prove League 1 is the best.
9. HHWC (Prep 2) 4-0... (destroying the comp down there. A few levels behind but capable for sure). The beat down from Smexies showcases that those few levels still make a difference at the moment.
10. Sea Wasps (Prep 2) 4-0.. (don't care let but beating up on the nobodys)
11. Black Knights 1-3... Play hard, battle hard but simply outleveled and outgunned most of the time. Worthy of a ranking though.
12. Nobody else has proven they belong here yet. we wil see.

GG Hooligans # 2. I felt really bad for crushing Lamar's MVP dreams so I decided to be fair and shatter Kosar and Hopkin's dreams as well. Was a fun challenge.
