I obeyed all the rules and stayed home as much as I possibly could so, no. My mom's life was too important.

Yeah, my immunocompromised son's life is pretty important to me, too, so I did all that and still got it.

I hear you. Every time I had/have to go to town for groceries or pay bills or sometimes work... every time feels like playing Russian Roulette.

Lucky you. No, I'm an "essential worker" who's been going to work every day since this started, but I'm not eligible yet.

Hang in there. I'm tier 3 (?... i think) so not among the health care workers or elderly (yet) so I had to wait despite being a caregiver... just not listed as a 'professional' so wasn't eligible at first. With a 3rd vaccine coming I think things will start expanding faster. I know that's what happened here. We got the new one (single shot) so now open for signups for me. I think people under 50 and others will likely be next.

I've stayed home more than I normally would, but when I have gone out I've worn a mask, kept my distance and followed the rules. My job doesn't allow me to work from home so I still have to travel there. My wife and I got married last August, had the best pandemic wedding we could possibly have. We took a short honeymoon out to East TN, wore a mask, followed rules once again, yadda yadda yadda. I say all that to say this... the girl house sitting for us had covid, so my wife and I got covid when we came home. If you're gonna get it you're gonna get it.

It wasn't bad. I lost my smell and had a dry cough. Had covid not existed I would have still gone to work. I've been sicker.

I get my vaccine next week.

The scary thing about this damned virus is you just don't know. Two people will get it... same age and everything health wise... one will only mildly get sick the other will die. Or one will never know they've got it while the other will spend 3 months in the hospital in a ventilator. Or one will simply not catch it... even if not masking... while another will do everything right and still get it.

I caught it last October (Late) worse Halloween ever. I believe I have long covid symptoms. My nervous system is not what it was before covid. My breathing is fine, but I still feel off, from where I was before covid! I am an essential worker, and caught it from a coworker.

I can't decide if I get short of breath due to long term covid symptoms or if I'm just fat

I do know my anxiety has been worse since covid. It's been so bad I'm now on meds for anxiety.
